RECAPPING ALIVE365: SAFETY WEEK There are many things that we can be proud of as an EV Family. Our buildings, the quality of workmanship from our people and the award winning culture that everyone has helped build here at E&V. But, the thing that we should be most proud of just happened this last month; The 2018 Alive365Ž Safety Week event and what it means to our community. The week started with our Annual Safety Symposium. This year’s Symposium not only highlighted the importance of safety in the industry and how to create a safety culture, but demonstrated how success in the construction industry is rooted in having the motivation to push standards to new heights. Former NFL star, Mark Pattison, spoke about his Seven Summits of Success based on the wisdom and experience gained from gridiron football, business and the heights of the world's tallest mountains. Following the Safety Symposium, we held ninetraining sessions for our trades to take advantage of. Ranging from first aid, to silica standards and lunch with MIOSHA. These opportunities are offered annualy to all of our trades who have a need to provide training for staff. We have received tremendous feedback from the trade contracting community on our 2018 Safety Week and we should be proud of our accomplishments in safety to date. As we look ahead to next month and some more major safety milestones, remember that the thing we should be most proud of is our care for each other and the partners we work with every day. It is the greatest aspect of our Unmistakable culture. Stay safe! John Parker VP of Project Development
