BUILDING BOVEN Holland Hospital - Boven Birth Center Renovation - Construction Update Newsletter
PROJECT MANAGEMENT UPDATE Our New Year’s resolution for 2020 is to complete Phase 3 of the Boven Birthing Unit renovation on time! We are excited for the patients and staff to see the high level of quality that has gone into this project. We are almost to the halfway mark for this phase. In this last phase, space is an issue for our team. With the walls all framed up, there are some tough spaces to navigate into. It is really important that materials are Julie Cole-Bouwens Assistant Project Manager stored neatly, which the team onsite has done a great job of. By the end JulieC@elzinga-volkers.com of next month, we will really see this space take shape. We hope everyone enjoyed Christmas and has a safe New Year!
FUN FACT Every day an estimated 1,000 eye injuries occur in U.S. workplaces. The financial cost of these injuries is enormous – more than $300 million per year in lost production time, medical expenses and worker’s compensation. No dollar figure can adequately reflect the personal toll these accidents take on the injured workers. Because of the high frequency of eye injuries on construction sites, EV requires all tradespeople and visitors to wear OSHA approved safety glasses while onsite.
