The EIA Recap The bi-weekly quick update on all the latest at EIA September 1, 2022

Here's what stepped off over the summer... Transition to a NEW CRM We're looking forward to getting more efficient with our donor data and increasing the ways we're engaging with our supporters. The transition is expected to be complete by November 1. Presently, we're cleaning data, writing new data procedures and setting up the new system. Expansion of Immersion Program One of the priorities established at the end of 2021 was to explore the opportunities and challenges of building on EIA's existing WASH university programs. With the support of the Education committee, we've made great progress on refining the model and doing outreach to engage more universities. An orientation was held on July 26, and application materials have been shared with 13 university contacts for projects to commence in summer of 2023. Finance/Accounting policies and procedures update A group of staff and Finance Committee members have been working through the process of reviewing practices and creating updates and/or creating new policies and procedures in our finance/accounting area. Although it has taken a substantial commitment of time, the process will make our systems stronger, more efficient/easy to work with, and transition-proof. Light At End of the Website Tunnel Yes, we are getting a new website. The new site will come on-line in two phases. The first will cover all of the EIA "essentials" and the following phase will add in some bells and whistles. Stay tuned for opening day announcements and fun. Audit Complete EIA's first ever audit was completed by Hinkle and Company in Tulsa. Thank you Steve Guy and Kaye Broom for their work with the auditors and, for the completely clean (!) management letter. Having the audit materials will open up a number of additional foundation opportunities that were not available without it. The report will be available via the September board meeting announcement for your review.
