I´m studying spatial stategies, 1st M.A. at the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts and Design.

Creative - oriented and passionate I develope work through a combination of strategy and creative direction.

I believe through creaticity and design we can transform complexity into an expierencable space.

I value aesthetics, I´m fascinated by the nature of duality: light vs dark, organic vs linear, public vs private, space vs void, interested in narrative context projected by the built object, serving inspiration from nature/ the environment.

water pathway architectural sculpture ws 2011/12 frau prof. dipl. -ing schork Topic | form & function Experience water and landscape in an atmospheric space.

During the work process I combined the flowing structure of a river with the edged geometry of stones. These forms were the basic for modelling the architecture. The interaction of closed and open zones implicit the strength of stones whereas the transparent parts represent the water.

Moreover the glassy parts make it possible to face the water under you. Reflecting materials as the glass and steel intensify a more cold and clean atmosphere. It suggests to be just in the river or walk through it without getting wet.

The up and down going architecture forces the visitor to concentrate on the walk and thus get a greater experience of the architecture. The glassy parts break the concentration and draw intention to the water. Through this interaction of architecture and nature the visitor receive a new perspective to experience their environment.

workspace exhibition design ws 2012/13 herr prof. dipl. -ing schulz in cooperation with josephine pilates Topic | exhibition concept to represent the studies of the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts & Design Focus oft the representation of each study was transparency and authenticity oft the working atmosphere. Thus we abstract study – specific characteristics and stage them in white cubes. White cubes to ensure an objective view for the visitor which should be filled with life by present students who will tell their story of his/her working process at the Muthesius. So the story telling will allow to fill the rooms with images in the visitors mind consequently the visitor will get a more emotional connection to the study.

Industrial design is extremely precise and functional all cut outs represent a specific field or creates a function. Communication design deals with typography and graphic design whereas the interior design represents a room in room concept.

In addition there are 3 plane rooms to invite students to present themself or their products/ art on their own.

whiskey shop shop design ss 2013 frau prof. dipl. -ing schork Topic | revitalisation of an old sugar factory The existing building provides an impressive scenery to represent whisky. The connection and interpenetration of old and new is the basis of the concept. New spaces will be distanced from the existing structure to contrast the dark and rough brick wall from the transparent and fragile glass faรงade. The reminiscence of a glass cabinet underlines the valuable character of whisky. The creative impression is puristic to obtain an ideal emphasis of the product. The room concept is strengthened by a reduced but accentuated light system.

The room concept includes storage, shop, tasting and exhibition.

the dark side set design ss 2013 herr prof. dipl. -ing schulz in cooperation with josephine pilates Topic | write a new script and create a set design on the basis of the film “Poll” by Chris Kraus The basis of the script deals with the question of the evil inside man. The protagonist Oda tries to get to know if her father´s thesis of the evil is right.

The stage is set on the beach in order to have good view on the sea an the width in reference to expand Oda´s horizon. Whereas the city implies density and just walking with the mass, in which Oda´s father is set in his own ways of regarding the evil in man. The house is located in the middle of the city but can be also placed behind the city or direct between the audience. Moreover the light plays an important part. The very clean green light expresses the father´s cruelty brain research. Light supports the atmosphere of the story´s dramaturgy and strengthens the audience´s emotional participation.

liquid learning interior | furniture design ws 2013/14 frau prof. dipl. -ing schork in cooperation with josephine pilates Topic | library of the future The concept “liquid learning” creates a flexible working atmosphere because of the combination of room, technology and the visitor himself. The room is adaptable for different features as working time (24h open), communication (analogue, virtual), individual learning styles as well as comfort zones to relax. The generation of a transitory room system requires a high range of flexibility. Visitor and room operate interactive and individual because of an “architecture of possibilities”. The interface of room and technology based upon digital equipment to motivate the visitor and improve the flexibility of the learning process. Adaptable furniture supports the different needs of learning together, alone, standing, sitting, presentation or just relaxing.

Ablagefläche im unteren Teil des Moduls bietet Stauraum für Bücher, Tasche, Schuhe...

Arbeitstisch aus hellem Eichenholz ist Ablagefläche und im herausgefahrenem Zustand eröffnet sie die Möglichkeit zum gemeinsamen Arbeiten.

screened installation ss 2013 herr prof. sperling Topic | installation The spatial intervention deals with the information overload in public space. Everyday we are exposed to louder, brighter, bigger advertising – information is everywhere. It is a doom loop – you focus, filter and forget. The countless forms of communication in public space are just monologues because nobody is able to figure all the information.

The pubic space cannot be recognized as such and there is no place to break this overload.

During the 24h workshop I consider to develop a space to escape from the information and slow down for a few minutes. The picture of an umbrella which we use to protect us from rain is abstracted to create a space which protect us from the information overload. This space is for one person, just keep your head in it to slow down and clear your mind.

Consequently 5 sewed umbrellas got my prototype in order to test it in the city.

smell the sense baschelor thesis ss 2014 herr prof. dipl. -ing schulz Topic | exhibition of the olfactory spatial perception Scent is omnipresent, sensible and communicative. It is an emotional operator and acts subconscious. The exhibition “smell the sense” will raise your awareness for scent and its effect on you and your behaviour. Scent is neutral until the visitor attributes a meaning thus the visitors interaction will complete the scent installations. Each person will expect something different and will get a subjective impression.

Consequently the exhibition will not explain the scent but the smell will be experienced by yourself and will remind you of a private event. The exhibition is structured in light, high, scent-neutral room to regenerate. Whereas dark, close and fragrant rooms intensify the scents effect. Scent, room and visitor are always interacting with each other and because of the emotional effects, each person will experience the room and the smell differently. The exhibition´s intention is to be aware of what you smell and reflect upon how much scent is necessary without being manipulative.

urban olympia research based spatial intervention ws 2014/15 herr prof. dipl. -ing teckert Topic | urban curating One of Kiel´s urban phenomenon is sailing. The basis of my research based spatial intervention is “Olympia” and how such a mega event affects a city. During the research Olympia appears as a critical moment for a city because it interferes in the city´s identity. Infrastructural, social, architectural, political and economical aspects will be influenced but often without including the sustainability and the citizen´s participation. Thus I formed a critical winner´s podium to implicit the striking aim of a city for more international reputation, but put the third place on top to remind that without the citizens support the aim will fail.

fischkopp exhibition design ws 2014/15 frau prof. dipl. -ing fülscher Topic | permanent exhibition by interest The exhibition “fischkopp” deals with the tradition and culture of Kiel´s fishery. The fact of the industrialized fishery and that fish is always available have negative results.

The traditional craft gets lost, although it is an important part of Kiel´s identity. The exhibition´s aim is to recall the fisher and his craft. 8 small fisher huts represent different aspects of Kiel´s fishery, which range from history to Kiel´s actual favourite fish. Moreover citizens and tourists can buy fresh fish directly from the boat once a week. The huts are simple and reduced, built out of wood. The information is illustrative, playful and rough like the character of an original fisherman. The exhibition is placed in front of the maritime museum, which once was the first fish market hall. This traditional place provides the perfect scenery with a direct view on the Kiel Fjord.

kiel´s honey brand architecture | workshop ws 2014/15 frau julia bindseil Topic | brand architecture The workshop by Julia Bindseil dealed with brand architecture. The local company “Kieler Honig” promotes the effort of honeybees and beekeepers and produce honey, which tastes like the city Kiel. To sell their honey or inform about the bees they have just an improvised stall. The concept to improve their awareness is a mobile sale and information construction trailer. The combination of selling and getting the information of the product I buy will have a higher effect on the costumer because it creates an emotional connection from honey – your city – sustainability. Moreover they are flexible. During the summer they can be placed by a hive and in winter they have the possibility to visit schools and use the trailer as a mobile information stage. The target audience are young families, consequently the illustration is more playful, colourful and child – friendly.
