We want to give the spotlight to artists deserving of attention for their creative work, and therefore, “Artist Spotlight“ feature is intended to spread the word about our discovered talent that is without a doubt worth the hype. This week’s Shoresound spotlight is centered on an incredible artist whose impressive discography is no surprise. His platform is constantly utilized for positivity. Marcus Morton, also known as redveil. Redveil is an Amer ican rapper and producer that writes and produces his own work, as well as for other artists. The Maryland born art ist is only 19 years old and already has three albums out, all released on his own: Bittersweet Cry, Niagara, and Learn 2 Swim, and one EP titled Playing w/ Fire. Growing up listening to soul and funk, redveil has a special sound curated from his influential childhood. His distinct voice exceeds the expectations for a young teen, and his style is euphorically mesmerizing. His lyrics are symboland metaphorical, portraying personal insights and relatable and inspirational messages.
