PORTRAIT OF MY GRANDMOTHER (SCHOLASTIC WINNER) As a submission for the Scholastic International Art & Writing Awards in 2015, I created this portrait of my grandmother, using graphite and colored pencil on a paper size measuring 16.5 x 24 in. The portrait earned a regional gold key, advancing to the international level and going on to win the Silver Medal in the Drawing & Illustration category.

While initially eligible for display in Carnegie Hall, the portrait was gifted to my grandmother as a token of gratitude.

ACRYLIC INVESTIGATION: COLOUR MIXING As part of an investigation into acrylic colour mixing, this project consisted of recreating several iconic oil paintings (pictured: Goya’s Dog Half-Submerged (left), and John Singer Sargent’s Madame X (right)) using only primary acrylic colours on canvases measuring 4 x 6 inches.

WRITERS’ GUILD LOGO As president of the Writers’ Guild club at Bayview Secondary School, I designed the official Writers‘ Guild logo, incorporating the school’s signature tiger.

The design was created using traditional media, combined with Adobe Illustrator. The logo was featured on club media, as well as merchendise.
