Former Judge Coaches Inducted into the Utah Sports Hall of Fame
On April 6, 2022, Judge Memorial's Hall of Fame coaching ranks ballooned from one to four! On that evening, the Utah Sports Hall of Fame Foundation inducted former Judge coaching greats Gil Cordova (football), Gail Meakins (swimming), and John Colosimo (football) into their 2022 Hall of Fame. Coach Cordova won three state titles in the early 1970’s and helmed one of the greatest-ever Utah high school football teams in 1972. Coach Meakins won six state titles in the early 2000s with the Boys & Girls Swimming Teams. Coach Colosimo was instrumental in building Judge’s football program from 1985-1996, later winning a state record-tying eight state championships at Juan Diego Catholic School.
The three legendary coaches join Judge basketball icon Coach Jim Yerkovich as official members of the Utah Sports Hall of Fame. We would like to thank all of them for their many years of inspired leadership. As Coach Cordova said at the April 6th banquet, "There aren't winners and losers. There are winners, of course - the rest of us are learners who run out of time."

Coach Cordova coached Judge football from 19651976, won three state titles, and was also the state runner up three times.

Coach Meakins coached the Judge Boys & Girls Swimming Teams when they both won state titles 2002-2005.

Coach Colosimo ‘74 was Judge’s head football coach from 1984-1996 before coaching for Juan Diego.
