MODA CONDO BRIEF

A two-storey penthouse in the heart of the Joo Chiat-Katong district, overlooking the wonderful view of shophouses and landed estates. The clients desired a simple, effective design with little or no black in their house.

HOUSEHOLD SHELTER As the existing two bedrooms are small, the wall between them was hacked away so as to combine into a single room, allowing for more ease of comfort while moving within the room.

BEDROOM 1 Another issue was the lack of wardrobe space, resulting in the conversion of a baywindow to a simple, small walk-in, open concept wardrobe.

The clients had an idea of sliding bookshelves that they fancied.

It was coupled with the ability to comfortably fit a study table and seating space when opened.

One key consideration was to ensure the sliding shelves were not too heavy; double tracks were place above and below for stability.
