What Seʦ STEALTH
Apart

Whether your patients want to comfortably support their appliance while running errands or running marathons, there is a STEALTH BELT® that is right for everyone.

Patient Tes m ials

I’m retired Navy, 10 years permanent ostomate, and proud SB ambassador. In my opinion, their impeccable line of products is among the highest quality in the industry. Wearing SB products allows me to comfortably and con dently “Go Anywhere. Do Anything.

Stealth Belt has allowed me to get back to the things I love: lifting, running, and biking… I feel a sense of security when I have my belt on. It’s also boosted my self-con dence by having my ostomy concealed, close to me, and supported. It allows me to be the person I want to be and do the things I want to do.

Ashley is ve years old and very active. Riding bikes and scooters and playing on the swings, slides, and chains at the park with her two brothers. Her Stealth Belt secures and supports her ostomy pouch so she can play with all the kids without limitations. We are so happy Stealth Belt has helped her get back to being a kid and enjoying life after surgery.

Ashley's Parents

One of my favorite things about my Stealth Belt is how it’s given me back some of my favorite little things in life. Lifting my legs without worrying about positioning or leaks and having my dog lay on my abdomen are things I never thought I’d be able to do again without worry. Thank you, Stealth Belt, for giving me my quality of life back.

I purchased a stealth Belt about three months after getting my bag. It has been the BEST thing for me! I don’t have a bag hitting my leg. I feel like I don’t have a bag with my belt on, and it SAVES me when I have a blowout! I recommend a belt to anyone asking questions about ostomies because I know how much it has improved my life and my family’s (Because I am happy!). It is not dif cult to wear or care for and lasts for years. Think this might be something you want?! Don’t Wait…. I promise you will NOT regret your Stealth Belt.

Kimberly C.

Stealth Belt helped me feel normal again after surgery. It’s allowed me to be active again and feel con dent and secure 24/7. I loved the product so much that after 2 years as a customer, I started working for the company to help others nd the same success I’ve had. I’m genuinely passionate about how much of a difference a Stealth Belt can make.

Academic S dy Demonstrates the STEALTH BELT® Difference

Academic research from the University of South Alabama shows that STEALTH BELT® support garments reduce the frequency of leakage as well as the incidence and frequency of skin irritation when compared to patients wearing other types of ostomy belts or those not wearing an ostomy support garment. The study nds that leakage and peristomal skin irritation are common ostomy-related complications that statistically impact patients' quality of life after ostomy surgery.

Help Patients Improve Quality of Life

Leakage and peristomal skin irritation are common complications following ostomy surgery, and they signi cantly impact patient quality of life. Help your patients address leakage and skin irritation and improve their quality of life by recommending a STEALTH BELT® support garment.

Hernia Support

STEALTH BELT® offers a GREAT option for your ostomy patients needing hernia support. The biggest issue we hear from customers about most hernia belts is that they are just not comfortable and most importantly THEY DON’T WEAR THEM.

STEALTH BELT® takes a different approach. Our standard hernia belts are made from three of our popular ostomy belt styles. The main difference is the addition of Pelon, a crisp material sewn around the ange hole to tighten against the hernia. This means all of the great features of our ostomy belts are also part of the design of the Hernia Belt.

We also can work with most unusual requirements, such as larger hernias, placement on the abdomen away from the stoma, etc. These custom belts are hand sewn to the required speci cations.

The following worksheet can be lled out by the clinician or the patient. A more detailed, printable version of the worksheet is available at stealthbelt.com/nurses.

All hernia belts are ordered over the phone with our experienced Customer Service Team. Please call 800-237-4491 for help if needed.

What are the bene ts of a Stealth Belt?

Wearing a Stealth Belt can help reduce the chance of leaks and irritation by supporting the weight of the appliance as it lls. They also help patients improve their overall quality of life by providing security and discretion, concealing the appliance, and improving con dence.

Should my patients use a Vertical or Horizontal Orientation?

Some patients nd that the horizontal orientation is preferable for keeping the appliance concealed and out of the way of the waistline and belt buckle. However, some patients with watery output, high output, or who prefer to keep their appliance vertically may prefer the vertical orientation.

How often should Stealth Belts be replaced?

The lifespan of the Stealth Belt depends on how often it is used and washed. We have found that it is generally good to replace Stealth Belts every 6-8 months.

What happens if a patient’s body measurement or ange is between two sizes?

All Stealth Belts come in even number increments. If a patient measures between 2 sizes, use the nearest available body size (e.g a 33” body measurement can use either a 32” or 34” belt depending on if they want the belt worn looser or tighter. The Stealth Belt has a 4” adjustable range so generally either size would work.

The same applies to the ange measurement. There are four standard ange sizes available (1 ¾”, 2 ¼”, 2 ¾”, 3 ¼ ). If an appliance is measured between two sizes, the next larger size ange option will work best. (e.g. a 2 1/2” ange should be ordered as a 2 ¾”)

How many Stealth Belts should each patient have?

We always recommend that patients have at least two Stealth Belts - one to wash and one to wear. For many patients, having multiple style belts to use for different activities is most advantageous. Example: Each patient would have a Stealth Belt Pro for daily use, a SlipOn Stealth Belt for night-time use or intimacy, and a Neoprene Stealth belt for use in the water.
