James DR. CYNTHIA
Dr. Cynthia James has served congregations nationally and internationally providing training in theological education, leadership development, and congregational health. She has held three Senior Pastorates for Church of God congregations in Anderson, Indiana, as well as worked for CityTeam Ministries placing missionaries in 96 countries. She was consecrated to the Office of Bishop in 2001. She has been instrumental in the planting of churches and providing pastoral care to pastors throughout the western region of the U.S, including Hawaii and Guam.
Dr. James has served in full-time professor and adjunct positions with Rutgers University, the University of Pittsburgh, California State University, and currently with Portland Seminary. She has additionally held appointments to the Board of Trustees for Warner Pacific College and the Board of Trustees for Asbury Seminary. In March, 2024, she completed a 12-year assignment as Director of Christian Education for the Potter’s House Dallas where she also served as a Pastor for many years.
Dr. James has served as an international speaker in Finland, Estonia, South Africa, Istanbul and numerous locations in the Caribbean. She is an accomplished author whose passions include serving the broader African Diaspora through lectures and international teaching tours. The James Family is actively engaged in mission on the African Continent as they enjoy dual residence between Dallas, Texas, and Midrand, South Africa.
Dr. Cynthia James is the recipient of numerous awards which include two Presidential Awards. She has been married for 55 years to Mr. Alvin James and is the mother of three adult children.
Dr. Terry L. Weems is a native of Laurel, MS, is the ninth of twelve children. He is the baby boy of the late Ernest Weems and Nezzie Lee Terrell Weems. He gave his life to Jesus Christ at the age of 15 and faithfully served at East Jerusalem Full Gospel Church, Laurel, MS under the late Bishop Willie E. Hines, his Father-in-Law. He’s married to the former Sherry Hines, they have a son, Terry (TJ) Josiah; a fe, the former Destinie Gibson; and the loving, lasting memory of their second son, Joel (JT) Terrell.
Pastor & Lady Weems reside in the city of Columbia, MS. He’s a Christian Life School of Theology (Doctor in Ministry); and Beacon y (Doctor in Ministry), Columbus, GA. Pastor Weems accepted the Life Fellowship Full Gospel Church, Columbia, MS in 1991, because all of God to full-time ministry. On December 31, 1996, he resigned ion with Flag Star Corporation (Hardees Restaurants) as Regional pervisor, overseeing nine restaurants throughout AL, LA, and MS.
He is Senior Pastor of New Life Fellowship Full Gospel Church, with three locations in Columbia, MS (1988), McComb, MS (1997) and Silver Creek, MS (2004).
Dr. Weems is an author, businessman, chancellor, community leader and an overseer of the A.C.T.S. Fellowship of Ministry Leaders, (est. 2011). He travels frequently, preaching and teaching the Word of God with excitement and destiny, giving a life-inspiring word with a realization that you have "One Life to Live." His wife Sherry says, “He lives his life like he preaches, with excitement, humbleness and integrity about the Word of God.” His philosophy to preaching is simple, “just stick to the text”, if you do this, you can’t mess up!”
