Pullman Yard is an abandoned train yard in Edgewood near the MARTA station. Walk around front by the know where you’re going until you round the corner at the end into the

esc esc

tracks, follow the sidewalk like you

gravel alley. Walk down, the fence is cut.

It’s

always

cut.

There’s

a

plywood walkway over all the nails and broken glass. Wear shoes, duh. Lots of murals and strange heights and corners to explore. Don’t be an idiot, watch for police. Pretend to be

55

taking pictures if you get caught.

indieATL

has

been

the

most

important place for me in college to date. The people I’ve met, the skills I’ve learned, it’s an invaluable experience. And I work my ass off to make sure it happens. It’s student run, so we have to show up for anything to get made. Whatever idea you can come up with, the crew is at least willing to try it. It’s a creative playground for students

esc

and faculty to work together to make amazing professional grade video. All of the opportunities that have come to me from working with this team have already manfiested in my life, and I’m not even a senior yet. What GPB is doing to WRAS and indieATL is completely despicable. Teaming up with a bunch of money-hungry administrators at Georgia State to eliminate student programs under the

11

guise of progress is a total sham.
