Months of Inventory 2009 - 2010

The supply of inventory, measured often as months of inventory is up slightly to 5 months. A six month supply of inventory is considered a balanced market, with inventory below that number approaching a seller's market and inventory over that a buyer's market. With historically low interest rates - low 4's - there has probably never been a better time to buy and it looks like sellers are taking advantage of that as they get their houses on the market. Buyers who are ready to buy and have funding in place are finding that they have a good opportunity.
