She now lives in Newcastle West with her husband Daryl and their two daughters, Arwen and Heidi. A BIT ABOUT THE GROOM Daryl McGrath, 27, is from Ballyagran, Co. Limerick. Daryl is a hair stylist at Le Chocolat, Limerick. THE MEET At a wedding in Fitzgerald’s Woodlands House Hotel in 2008. It was love at first sight for Daryl but it took Ciara a bit longer to realise Daryl was the one for her – two years to be exact. THE PROPOSAL Daryl proposed to Ciara on October 10, 2010 at the Hotel Europe in Killarney down by the lake. WEDDING DATE October 25, 2013 WEDDING VENUES Newcastle West Bible Fellowship and the reception was there also BRIDESMAIDS Tara McBride and Sinéad Watkins BESTMEN Kevin O’ Callaghan and Dave O’ Keeffe CAKE Mirka Cakes in Charleville INVITES “We decided to make our own invites because we wanted to give it that personal touch and we could design them the way we wanted them. We used light brown stock card with burlap and lace and some blush pink ribbon. I love all things rustic looking,” shared Ciara. FIRST DANCE “Amazed” by Lonestar. HOW MANY GUESTS? 40 family and friends WEDDING THEME A vintage/rustic theme. “I had lots of burlap and lace and mason jars with pillar candles inside of them. I had lace bunting and I made my own craft tissue paper pom poms.”

FAVOURITE MEMORY Ciara’s favourite memories of the day – “my journey in the wedding car on the way to the church, I couldn’t believe it was finally our wedding day and I was just trying to soak it all in and seeing Daryl waiting for me at the top of the aisle, something I thought wouldn’t happen as soon as it did.” Daryl’s favourite memory – “when I saw Ciara walking up the aisle to me, something I dreamt about since the day I first laid eyes on her.” YOU HAD A CHRISTIAN SERVICE AND RECEPTION, TELL US ABOUT IT A Christian wedding is Christ-centred. He is the focal point. Christians who get married are not only making a commitment to each other but also to Christ. God intended for marriage to be a covenant relationship, not a contract, for it to last forever and not something to be taken lightly. When our knowledge grew of the biblical significance of marriage, we really appreciated the true meaning of the ceremony and what it meant to both of us and to God. We had our reception at the church because it meant a lot to us to have everything on the day held in the one place. SPECIAL TOUCHES “Everyone who was part of our wedding made it so special for us. We had so much help from Newcastle West Bible Fellowship and from Charleville Christian Bible Fellowship. We had so much help in the decor from Natalie Burnett, and amazing help in every aspect from the Shanks
