Some of the people attending your hen party may have never met before, so break the ice with an easy going game. Have each of the girls write down their dream date with their ‘dream mate’ and compile them all. When they are read out, the group will try to guess whose dream date it is and have a giggle and some of the celeb guilty pleasures.

Create a template for wedding speech or vows and leave some blanks in each sentence. Get the girls to each write a random word (the funnier the better) and fill in the blanks with whatever word is most entertaining in each space. Have the bride read her amended vows and see just how creative the girls can get.

If the bride and groom are from the same town, why not join forces with the boys and create a townsized treasure hunt! Think orienteering with a twist (twist being champagne and cocktails) and set clues for each team like “where we had our first date” or “where we’ll be getting married”. When each group gets to each destination they can collect a drink voucher for later. Get the competitive streak going.

Warning- this one is a potential tear jerker and a perfect idea for the maid of honour to organise. Have all the married women in the family and hen party group write their best advice and lessons from their own marriages for the bride sto have as a keepsake throughout her own new journey.
