Shashi Satyal is the Managing Partner at PKF T R Upadhya & Co, Chartered Accountants. In his current role, he has the overall responsibility to manage, develop and grow the firm to be one of the top assurance and advisory firms in the country. Over the past 30 years, Mr Satyal has provided a wide range of enterprises with assurance, tax and business advisory services. His professional service experience includes services such as assurance business advisory, taxation, investigation, financial restructuring for public and private enterprises who are subsidiaries of multinational companies, manufacturing companies, banks and financial services companies, enterprises in the hospitality sector, infrastructure projects funded by bilateral and multilateral agencies, as well as not-for-profit organisations – primarily the country offices of large, international not-for-profit agencies. Mr Satyal has also served as member of the Accounting Standards Board, Nepal and has played a pivotal role in development of the Nepal Financial Reporting Standards (equivalent to IFRS) and its implementation.
