Ancient Peoples

The great and exotic realms of just around the imagination, beyond time and space have always fascinated me. I’m inspired by authors such as Verne and Burroughs.

I find more fascinating a warrior its gear and colors than their might. In a cavalry charge such as this one I tried to make the whole army a single distinctive character on its own.

I truly believe that daily, normal characters are what gives a place it’s flavor. A landscape it’s only as interesting as it’s peoples. When people blend to their environment, when their culture and activities are what changes it, that’s when a place is truly alive..

I believe the true strength of art it’s hidden in the quick, strong lines of a sketch. The magic of creating something because it needs to exist.

Here, a vengeance spirit of the desert, a piece of bleached colors and feminine power. Nothing is as feminine as revenge.

Green Mystery

Forest exploration focused on light and atmosphere. Diffuse shapes and soft borders generate a deep green landscape. Following, some fauna native to Mesoamerica developed for a museum display.

In a natural environment the focus must be both in the visible and the invisible. those unseen elements must be shown thru their interactions with the visible.

A subterranean world that would worship the rare light that invades the deep using elaborate mosaics.

Art of Elsewhere

A collection a topic that follows all my art culture. This are paintings that depict imaginary worlds and the kind of culture and art that they would foster on their people

A postapocalyptic solar-punk world that paints the ruble not worth removing.

Narrative

I try to always add elements of a bigger story on every work. It's not about the absurd, but the contrast, both visual and thematic. Shadows and light, expression and silence, color and attitude.

Scene from a folktale about shapeshifting mages.
