Farmer’s Market

This project took all I had learned over the past two years and combined it into a welcoming center with outdoor space for a farmer’s market so that people could come from the neighborhoods west of the sight or Mass. st. from the east and join as one community. I took sustainable and striking features I had gathered last year and used them for the exterior, and I took the use of space and purpose from all my classes and used that on the interior and the outdor seating areas. This project I feel is the culmination of all that I learned over the last two years.

Church Gate/Fence

This project was a good transition for me coming from spending a summer in a warehouse building sets for conventions and display shows. Getting a chance to combine both the design and construction process and experiement with different softwares was a unique experience and was the most hands-on learning I had experienced in my time studying architecture. The gate was my main contribution to the project, and with the help of several of my teammates, we were able to construct the entire project from scratch and provide a beacon of light to a struggling church.

Craft Distillery

This project introduced me to the more technical side and the actual process designers and architects must go through when constructing a building. Learning not just about materials and use of natural resources, but codes and guides one must follow when building in a certain area. I also got to break down the building I was making into layers and sections in a way I had never done before. It was a tough project pverall, but I learned alot more about the business and the process of designing buildings as well as regulations we must follow to be a part of a community.
