MISSION STATEMENT The mission of the DHPC Outreach Committee is to build a positive reputation of DHPC in our community by encouraging and equipping the Church family to be ambassadors of DHPC, cultivating Christ-like hospitality, shepherding guests through to membership, inviting them to commit to DHPC by using their unique gifts in service to the Lord and to continue to grow in faith through worship, discipleship, fellowship, and service ministries of the Church.

2021 GOALS Continue finding warm, welcoming church members to act as Greeters. Begin recruiting Gatherers from the congregation. Create a special Guest table on the patio with

Greeters available to talk with guests at the table. Make every effort to involve guests in the life of the church. Recruit

Roamers for the coffee time on the patio who would make sure all the guests are connected with church members. Encourage the congregation to build relationships with guests. Communicate importance through Minute for Mission,

Echoes, Constant Contact, etc. Assist with the New Member classes. Create system to continue to contact new members and help them feel welcome.

Assist new members in becoming an active part of our congregation. Reach out to greater community through new programs or classes. Coordinate these efforts with other committees in the church. Create videos explaining the church to potential visitors. Examples might be one about the choir, practice, and performance, or about the handbell group, practice and performance or introduction to the pastors through a casual chat, etc. Coordinate with Director of Family and Student Ministries regarding updating the signage on our campus. Evaluate creating new name badges – perhaps including the state the member came from. Recruit more members to our committee through advertising through all the church resources. Become a Hospitable Church.
