JP Architects, Ltd. was founded in 2015 by Jose R. Pareja, AIA. We specialize in and are passionate about public sector planning / capital improvement projects, restaurant design and commercial architecture. We bring sound principles of design, creativity, innovation, resourcefulness, reliability, quality and functional architecture and interior design to each project to each project. We have a young and vibrant team led by leadership who is progressive and forward-thinking in their management style. Their focus is on the client and how we can best serve the client to achieve their goals. With that, comes a healthy work/life balance for our employees because we have found this results in better performance and positive client interactions.

JP Architects, Ltd. has recently expanded our capacity to accommodate projects within the public & private environment with the addition of Vice President & principal Ariel Delao, Lead Designer Jay Miranda and Project Architect Christian Pereda, as well as, several support staff. Together, our senior leadership brings over 80 years combined experience to clients in the public and private realm. They know what a successful project looks like, and you can feel confident with them by your side because of their ability to bring your project into reality. We are also a diverse team, which is an added-value to any project owner because we possess a variety of opinions and often create an outcome that wouldn’t otherwise be obtainable without diverse minds coming together.

From 2019-present, JP Architects, Ltd. strengthened our public portfolio by establishing successful relationships with Elgin Community College, Moraine Valley Community College, Chicago Public Schools and multiple state agencies. Our projects range from comprehensive design services to visualization, programming & concept creation. JP Architects, Ltd. has also strengthened our restaurant design vertical by forming relationships with national brands and emerging concepts -- here in Illinois and across the nation. On the commercial end, we continue to provide high-quality design services for developers and business owners.

JOSE R. PAREJA, AIA - PRESIDENT & PROJECT PRINCIPAL

Jose R. Pareja, AIA is the President of JP Architects, Ltd. and the overall Project Principal for our projects. Pareja has a wealth of knowledge and experience in site feasibility studies, site investigation reports, building condition assessments, ADA compliance, space planning, permitting, coordination with city and state agencies / departments, bidding, cost estimating, new construction, renovation, tenant build-outs, construction administration and the entirety of the design process. Pareja specializes in ensuring your project comes in on budget and on schedule. He works diligently to save client’s money and his track-record supports this. Pareja is the advocate you want by your side throughout design and construction. Pareja is the Immediate-Past President of American Institute of Architects - Eastern Illinois Chapter.

Ariel Delao is the Vice-President of JP Architects, Ltd. and overall Project Manager for our projects. Delao’s background contains an impressive track-record of experience with new construction and renovation project.. His knowledge and experience with site feasibility studies, code analysis, site investigation reports, ADA compliance, space planning, life/safety updates, permitting, coordination with city and state agencies / departments, bidding and construction administration is a major added value to any project. Delao understands the coordination required in order for projects to reach completion.. He is also well-versed in prototype design and development. Delao specializes in recognizing emerging industry trends and norms, and there isn’t any other Project Manager who’s better equipped to bring your vision to life.

JAY MIRANDA -

Jay Miranda is the Lead Designer at JP Architects, Ltd. He brings our clients many years of previous experience designing educational facilities and interior, environmental and graphic design. Miranda is the designer you want by your side throughout the design process. His insight and knowledge is unparalleled, and you can feel confident in his ability to achieve your vision and provide your institution with an aesthetic that’ll match your culture and enhance the environment. Previous design experience includes: Colorado Technical University - Main Physical School and Master Planning for new campus, Culver Academic - Miles White Rowing Center, Culver Academic - Master Planning for Business School, Timeout Market Chicago and more.
