For A Sustainable Future Energy Transition: A Breakthrough in Our Industry

Nowadays, climate chaos is a global issue as well as a challenge for industry players to create the energy that the world needs while working to achieve the ambitions of the Paris Climate Agreement. Various aspects, ranging from investment, innovation, breakthroughs, and the integration of the global community, are needed for the successful fulfillment of energy that increases along with the growth of the global community. Then, how is the petroleum industry facing this transition to clean energy?

1. Fact: Fossil’s fuel still lead energy until 2040 Under the IEA’s Sustainable Development Scenario, natural gas and oil will provide nearly half the world’s energy by 2040, even if each country meets the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement. While doing so in a way that addresses climate challenges: reducing emissions, increasing efficiency, advancing technological innovation, building modern infrastructure, and more. 2. Accelerate Technology and Innovation Technology is the right step to maximize emission reductions in a cost-effective way for industry and consumers. In the oil and gas sectors, we trying to develop some technology such as hydrogen technology (including expanding the role of hydrogen in decarbonization requires cost-effective production of low-carbon hydrogen from all sources and support policies that advance hydrogen infrastructure buildout), lowcarbon technology (including carbon capture, utilization, and storage), and collaborate with renewable energy as an energy source for production.

3. Endorse Policies and Regulations as a Major Step Rather than a patchwork of federal and state regulations and mandates that can ineffectively tackle climate challenges, government-wide economies such as carbon pricing policies are the most impactful and transparent way to achieve meaningful progress. From here, there are at least some important points that need to be generalized where the regulation should be Economy-wide, Transparent, Non Duplicative, Focus on Net Emissions, but still be able to make our products compete in the market.
