Mississippi College Dr. Kristena Payne Gaylor is an Assistant Professor of Management and Economics at Mississippi College in Clinton. Before joining MC in 2011, she taught for 10 years at Belhaven University, Alcorn State University and Jackson State University. In 2011, Gaylor started KPG Consulting, LLC which is a management consulting firm. She graduated cum laude with a degree in Business Administration from Mississippi State in 1995. She was a manager and marketing coordinator before pursuing an MBA from Millsaps College. In 2004, she was one of the first women at JSU to earn a Ph.D. in Business with a Major in Management and a Minor in Economics. Gaylor often does research in the field of organizational behavior, and has been published in the Journal of Academy of Business and Economics, the Journal of Interdisciplinary Research, Journal of Behavioral and Applied Management, SAM Advanced Management Journal, and the Academy of Educational Leadership Journal. Gaylor has served on the Board of Directors for Operation Shoestring and Parents for Public Schools Greater Jackson. She is a life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She is a member of the Junior League of Jackson, where she received the “2014 Provisional Member of the Year.” Gaylor serves on her children’s PTA Board, and teaches Sunday School at Anderson United Methodist Church. She enjoys spending time with her family including her mother, husband, Tony, and sons Samuel and Kristopher. MEMBER FDIC
