EXPLORING GEORGETOWN
What is the essence of the neighborhood Georgetown in Seattle, WA? I began this exploration by creating a collage of my experience in the historic neighborhood. The pollution I discovered influenced my final project for the studio.

ENDOPHYTEINOCULATED PHYTOREMEDIATION
After taking a class with Dr. Sharron Doty on phytoremediation, I was inspired into using new phytoremediation technology to help clean up pollution in Georgetown.

INOCULATING GEORGETOWN
For my final project of the Georgetown-centered studio, I created a three-step plan to bring endophyte-inoculated phytoremediation to polluted sites in Georgetown. The first step begins with three test sites and will expand to nine sites after five years. After ten years, successes and failures from the neighborhood project will be brought to other polluted sites around Seattle.

CAPTURING WATER FLOW
For the final project of the urban sites studio, I broke through the asphalt of a parking lot near pioneer square in Seattle, WA to capture water moving through the site and observe sea-level rise. Vignettes on the right help visualize how the place could change through time.

RECYCLED SHELTER
This class project focused on creating a detail-set for an imagined landscape feature. I decided to utilize recycled materials and created a canopy by cutting an oil tank in half. The rotating seats below the canopy utilize smaller recycled oil barrels.
Programs used: Photoshop, Illustrator, Rhino, AutoCAD

DESIGNING WITH ITERATION
Assigned to effectively show the relationship between two species, this project demonstrates my ability to design through iteration.
Programs used: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
