EDGEWOOD - Monday afternoon September 30 the Edgewood Branch of First State Bank of Ben Wheeler was held up. The Edgewood location resumed operation on Tuesday morning October 1 According to a social media post by the financial institution, bank officials are working with law enforcement to apprehend the person responsible for Monday’s robbery. Bank Officials went on to praise FSB employees, the social media post read, “Most importantly, our amazing staff followed guidelines and remained professional which resulted in no injuries,” Edgewood Police Chief David Hammonds said the Edgwood police department and the FBI are searching for one suspect involved in the incident. Chief Hammonds described the robber as a five foot nine, or five foot ten white male who was clean shaven. The suspect is believed to weigh about two hundred thirty pounds. Chief Hammonds also said the man came into the bank located in the 400 block of West Pine Street and handed a note to a teller at one of the windows. The robber did not display a gun. The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash and the robber fled the location in a brown Kia, heading east on Highway 80 toward Grand Saline. In a Tues-
