Acralux

Warranty Information

Archant provides a 10 year warranty to the original owners of our Archant Acralux the the product will be free from manufacturing defects for a period of the lifetime of the original owner.

Although the product is carefully inspected before shipping or delivery, it is the responsibility of the owner to thoroughly inspect the product upon its receipt.

Any damage to the product thereafter is the responsibility of the owner.

Final Inspection and approval of the installation is also the owner’s responsibility.

The warranty shall apply only where a product is properly fabricated by the approved fabricators, subject to the exclusions set out below, is used for its intended purpose, and is maintained and used strictly in accordance with the Archant care and maintenance instructions.

All warranty claims must be received by Archant within 28 days of discovery of a manufacturing fault that fails within this warranty.

Warranty Exclusions

The Warranty shall be null and void unless the product has been paid for in full. The Warranty covers only manufacturing defects and does not apply to material subjected to damage due to mishandling, structural movement, abnormal use, misuse, physical chemical or exposure to direct or sustained heat, cold (thermal shock), exposure to chemicals, force, pressure or loading applied by a person, utensil or object. The Warranty does not cover damage or effects caused by poor installation or improper, insuffcient or poorly designed support, cabinets, structures, substrate or sub-floors for bench tops, vertical surfaces or floor tiles. The Warranty does not cover quality of installation or damage caused by the installer or fabricator. Installation or fabrication issues must be resolved directly with the point of purchase and are the sole responsibility of the owner and the point of purchase and not of Archant and are not covered by the Warranty. The Warranty does not cover transportation, freight, removal, disposal and re-installation, fabrication or associated costs beyond the cost of the material, unless these costs have been quoted to, and pre-approved by Archant.

Warranty Cleaning and Maintenance

Routine maintenance

For every-day cleaning of Acralux surfaces such as kitchen benchtops, tabletops, bathroom vanity tops, we recommend a damp microfiber cloth and for regular cleaning we recommend using Acralux surface cleaner with a soft sponge or microfiber cloth.

Persistent stains

Persistent stains can be removed with a slightly abrasive sponge or a gritty surface cleaner (eg. Gif) used with a microfiber cloth. Do not use steel wool pads, because these would leave metal traces and damage the surface finish.

Precautions

Remove and spills of staining liquids (coffee, red wine, lemon juice), caustic substances (oven cleaner), acids, and colourants as soon as possible and rinse with water. Acralux is heat resistant and perfect for use around cooktops, but we recommend using a hot mat to protect the surface from any discoloration from hot pots and pans.

To register your Duro™ Porcelain warranty, please complete your details online at archant.co.nz Registering ensures we have your information for warranty claims. Duro™ provide a 10 year warranty to the original owner of our Duro™ Porcelain slabs against manufacturing and/or structural defects for the 10 years of the end user. While each product undergoes careful inspection before shipping or delivery, it is the owner’s responsibility to thoroughly inspect upon receipt. Any subsequent damage is the owner’s responsibility. Final inspection and approval of installation are also the owner’s responsibility.

The warranty applies only if the product is properly fabricated and installed as a kitchen and/or bathroom top in residential or commercial interiors by approved fabricators, used for its intended purpose, and maintained according to care instructions. All warranty claims must be submitted to Duro™ within 28 days of discovering a manufacturing fault covered by this warranty.

Warranty Exclusions

The warranty is void if the product is not fully paid for. It covers only manufacturing defects and excludes damage due to mishandling, structural movement, abnormal use, misuse, chemical exposure, direct or sustained heat or cold (thermal shock), force, pressure, or impact by persons or objects.

It does not cover damage from poor installation, inadequate support, or improper design of cabinets, structures, substrate, or subfloors for countertops, vertical surfaces, or floor tiles. Quality of installation or damage caused by the installer or fabricator is not covered. Installation or fabrication issues must be resolved directly with the point of purchase and are not the responsibility of Duro™. Transportation, freight, removal, disposal, reinstallation, fabrication, or associated costs beyond material costs are not covered unless pre-approved by Duro™.

For hassle-free maintenance, use a Microfibre cloth to keep the Duro™ surface free of dirt, dust, or debris:

Soak the microfibre cloth in warm water. Add Duro™’s recommended cleaning agents for a thorough cleanse. Wipe the surface, keeping the cloth damp. Rinse with clean water. Dry with a clean cloth.

Deep Clean

For stubborn stains like coffee, ink/dye, or nail polish, a deep clean using aggressive, Duro™-recommended chemical products may be necessary for effective removal. It’s advisable to address tough stains promptly to prevent long-term discoloration.

Cleaning Tools

Use a microfibre cloth for the best results. Pour an adequate amount of cleaning agent on the stain and wait for it to absorb. Rinse with water and dry with a clean cloth.

Decorative Plating

Decorative plating is an electrodeposition process where a thin layer of brass, nickel, chrome or copper is deposited on the wire mesh surface in a tank-dipped procedure on Plain Steel. The antique plated finish process introduces a dark oxide layer over top of the bright plated alloy with a hand-relieving process used to accentuate the high points of the wire mesh.

Living Finishes

Living Finishes are mesh finishes containing unlacquered and uncoated raw brass, copper or bronze material. This finish will age and change over time, developing a natural patina and differing and often darker shades throughout the material. The rate at which this aging process occurs and the visual patina that develops is entirely dependent on the environmental conditions of your area such as the temperature and air composition.

It is advised to only handle raw Living Finishes mesh' with gloves to ensure the sheets are not marked or damaged from human perspiration on bare hands. The Living Finishes can also be lacquered by a professional to ensure the finish stays consistent.

Custom Cutting Service

Archant offers a cutting service for our Wovenpanel, tailored to your specifications. Simply send us your design, panel dimensions, and preferred mesh weave orientation, and we will promptly provide a quote. Once approved, your panels will be cut and delivered to you.

Upload your design drawings or concepts for our Wovenpanel™ specialist team to prepare a project proposal for you. Please include as much detail as possible in your designs to allow us to provide you with an accurate quote and recommendation.

2. Receive your

Wovenpanel Quote

Using your design drawings, one of our wovenpanel specialists will calculate the amount of material required and provde a quote for the material and cutting fee.

3. Approval

Once your design has been finalized and the quote has been approved, we will cut and pack your wovenpanel. Our lead time for Wovenpanel orders is 10 business days from the time of approval.

Angle Iron

The Angle Iron framing creates a strong and rigid perimeter which is especially desirable for larger-scale installations. There are 3 Angle Frame options, 'Standard', 'Bar and Angle' and 'Wrapped'. The Standard option involves welding the wire mesh to the backside of the Angle frame. This is only suitable for thicker mesh styles. The 'Bar and Angle' approach is a non-welded solution which is better suited to smaller mesh styles.

The 'Wrapped' option is best for very tight and more opaque mesh styles with very thin wiring. The 'Wrapped' option is also suited for aesthetics where a frameless appearance is desired. In this option, the wire mesh is bent and then positioned around the outside of the Angle Iron.

U-Edge

U-edge is the most common way to provide a safe and economical perimeter edge around a wire mesh panel. Archant has access to a range of U-Edge widths to best suit your design and mesh style. The U-Edge is easy to work with and can be used for a range of our Wovenpanel™ mesh patterns and spacings.
