OUR FUTURE [where to from here] ‘The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. The church is Christ’s body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with his presence.’ Ephesians 1:22-23 (The Message) COMMITMENT You may have noticed that our ‘Connection Cards’ clear distinguishes between: • a “Regular Attender” (“This is a church I go to”) • a “Member” (“This is my church”) What is the difference? The difference really comes down to one word: COMMITMENT Although we appreciate that some people will prefer not to commit any more than an “Attender” for various reasons, we also recognize that the church is built on the dedicated commitment of their “Members”. The Bible says God unleashes His power to build the church when committed people put their hands to the plough.

‘Your people shall be volunteers In the day of Your power; In the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, You have the dew of Your youth.’ (Psalm 103:3) At the completion of DNA Culture we ask all participants to commit further than just “Attenders” for 4 reasons: 1. A Biblical Reason: Christ is committed to the church.

“...Christ loved the church, and he gave his life for it.” (Ephesians 5:25) 2. A Cultural Reason: It is an antidote to a real problem in our modern society. We live in an age where very few want to be committed to anything...a job...a marriage... our country. This attitude has even produced a generation of “church shoppers and hoppers”. A
