For many years the Gundog Club of SA has had the privilege to use the Blacker’s Property at Willunga to hold its Retrieving Ability Tests for Gundogs (RATG).
The club would like to acknowledge and thank Colin Blacker and his family for their support of our club and for our sport. Unfortunately, due to Colins ailing health our relationship has now come to an end. We wish Colin and his family all the best going forward.
We have shared the joy of watching gundogs do what gundogs love to do ‘retrieve’. Colin loved to see the dogs working and always came for a visit each year to see the dogs. The property is very picturesque with rolling hills and dams. The dogs loved it especially the dams.
I was lucky to speak to Colin recently and he is very sad to no longer have the dogs come but wishes the club all the best in the future and wanted us to know how much he enjoyed having us.
