I thoroughly enjoyed writing this story. My enjoyment stems from the emotional attachment I developed with the characters I created. I can only hope that readers find the same emotional attachment. I purposefully did not provide illustrations, hoping that the reader would create their own images of the characters using the words I have written.History has shown that stories, both oral and written, can become distorted as they pass through time, causing the original version of the story to be misrepresented. These distortions, often caused by verbal misunderstanding, improper translation of text, or intentional embellishment, quicken the progression of a true and accurate story to one that is mythical.This book is a story about birds that have lived in airplane terminals for many generations. These birds have fallen victim to distortions to their oral history.This is a story of love, adventure, and discovery. It is a story that shows the importance of family, friendship, and peaceful coexistence with neighbors. It is a story that reveals many important qualities one should have in leading a fulfilling life. Loyalty, curiosity, and a sense of adventure are just a few of these qualities.Enzo, the main character, begins his adventure with many of these qualities. Some are innate, and others are instilled in him by his environment, family, and friends.Enzo’s adventure leads to discovery. His discoveries teach him many things about himself and the importance of others in his life. The discoveries could not have been made without the help of the other characters in the story. These discoveries not only teach Enzo about himself, but they also advance the
knowledge of the world he lives in, both on the inside and on the OUTSIDE.
