Branding Guide

About CYCLING UK is a cycling charity based in the UK. We want to build a community of cyclists.

We welcome every cyclist who believes that belonging to the community could make a better cycling environment.

What we do We h o l d v a r i o u s c a m p a i g n s for cyclists to improve cycling environments.

The Cyclists’ Defence Fund helps fight significant legal cases involving cyclists and cycling, especially those which could set important precedents for the future of all cyclists.

Logo The brandmark logo itself has a clear visual identity of a bicycle.

Its minimalist feeling is adaptable and memorable.

It could be applied both with the wordmark logo or just the simple brandmark logo itself.

Logo Clear Space All forms of the logo must have a designated amount of clear space on all sides unoccupied by other elements.

This is to ensure the logo’s visual clarity and effectiveness.

Colour Palette

CYCLING UK visual identity relies on the usage of warm and attractive colours.

The primary colour is used for the website, app, and Instagram profile. For campaigns and events, infinite colour schemes are possible.

However, we highly recommend using two contrast colours or warm colours that gives a sense of welcoming and friendliness.

Typeface We use only one typeface to create all digital and printed publications.

This rounded Sans-Serif font itself contains one of our organisation's visual identities.

We also use this bold font for our wordmark logo. Avoid using the lightweight for headings.

Do

Use the icon with the wordmark logo both vertically and horizontally.

If using the brandmark logo make sure to use recommended background colours. Using the wordmark logo itself is also clear.

Don't

The text should not be smaller or higher than the brandmark logo if used together. Do not tilt and also give plenty of space of background for the icon if using it alone. Don't use more than two colours for the lockup logo.

Instagram Post

Please follow this user interface guide to produce app icons and Instagram posts. When designing the app interface follow all previous guides for the logo and typefaces.

Stationery

Using our brand's visual identity the publication will attract cyclists and create connections.

Customisable membership cards promote members' interest, engaging more people.

Instagram which is one of the most common SNS, we applied new brand strategies.

Its neat layout and colours attract attention.

Attracting and minimalist feeling of the app engages more cyclists to join the charity.

Using the graphic elements of the brandmark logo we could create graphic patterned jerseys for our members.

It could also collaborate with specialists for cycling accessories.

Use our brandmark logo for business cards and stickers.

Also, use our unique visual identity to advertise campaigns.

The poster will help more people to join the charity's campaign.

Suggest our members participate in campaigns. This will prevent accidents on the roads.

Apply the minimalistic sense to the website. Clean imagery will engage more cyclists to join in.

Provide vinyl stencils for the members to dress-up their bicycles.
