We are aiming to raise £50k for LOROS and we will be launching a large public fundraising campaign to achieve this. However, we are faced with a baseline cost of £100k to get to the startline. A cost that we will be covering through corporate sponsorship, crowd funding & personal investment. Our boat, on board equipment, transportation, race entry fees all cost money. Without these our mission is not possible and we can not use this as a brillient platform to raise money and awareness for LOROS.

Environmental responsibility – Human powered crossing with solar power for essential navigation and communication equipment, on a preloved boat, that’s about to make its 6th crossing. Let’s consider environment impact and Carbon Zero.
Ethical responsibility – The team aim to use their experience to educate the younger generation and generations to come of diversity of the natural world by making visual recordings of the wonders they will experience during their crossing, including bioluminescence, marine life e.g. sharks, dolphins, whales, flying fish and clear night skies (without the light pollution of human habitats).
Philanthropic responsibility – By supporting Stronger Twogether, you will be investing in a project that will be used to inspire the people for years to come and raise awareness of causes both local and globally.
Economic responsibility – All of the above, and we won’t stop doing our bit when we reach, the end, that’ll be a new beginning to spreading the message by sharing our story with all who will listen.

With Jooles as a founder and honorary member, we are thrilled to support her ocean rowing team Stronger Twogether, husband Ian learned to row with us. We share their journey with our members, supporting their physical training through long hours on the water and ergs. We understand the immense effort Jooles has put in so far to buy a boat, and undertake the mandatory training hours and we eagerly anticipate seeing the pair arrive in La Gomera in Dec. We will all be dot-watching and cheering them on, wishing them a safe arrival in Antigua.

Cazz - Land Team
Cazz is one of Ian’s very best friends, the reason he first considered the possibility of Ocean rowing but more importantly, Cazz introduced Ian to Jooles. With a background as a Sport Scientist and personal experience of extreme adventures, (holder of two world records in Ocean Rowing and a Dover Straights award for one of her English Channel relay swims.). Cazz couldn't pass up the opportunity of supporting Ian and Jooles, managing the Teams social media presence during their own extreme adventure?
