During my time in the Co-op program with George Brown College, I worked on a project called Deep River which was a remodelling project of lost cabins in Deep River, ON. It is a historical recreation of the indigenous land show display structures that were torn down in the past on to the existaing land of today. I joined the project a month before the presentation to assist in the rendering of the cabins and topography shown. Additionally, I was able to create a 7 and a half minute flythrough of the village for the final presentation.

The Bus Shelter Project was a creative work project that was given to us to complete in one week. The only requirements were to design and present a minimum 10’ x 12’ bus shelter using the presentation and software skills we have developed throughout our education.

In this Project, I was tasked with creating a 10,000 sq. ft building with 16 levels, exclusively through Dynamo within Revit. Once completed, I then used Enscape to complete the render you see below. I enjoy this night render through the use of the artifical lights that help accentuate the shape and rotation of the building. On the next page I have desplayed two more renders, both are in the day time, and both have different perspectives and field of view.

Daytime Perspective View from Street
Project Diomedes
Summer 2022
Project Diomedes was a thought experiment that tested our creativity and design skills to produce an elegant design to a real life issue of connecting two islands that have been seperated from one another. It deals with Little and Big Diomede Islands in the Bering Sea, which are seperated by the international date line, therefore they are 21 hours apart yet they are less than 4 km away in distance. The two islands were seperated after the Cold War, so Big Diomedes went to Russia, and all residents were taken off the island, and Little Diomedes went to USA, in which some residents still remain.
My solution to bring these two islands back together was to create a sundial that both islands could read so their time read the same thing, compared to being 21 hours apart. I used Autodesk Revit to design a circular building that would function as a meeting area for people, as well as it displays a functioning sundial in the middle.

Absolute World Skyscraper, Remake
Summer 2022
To test our skills in Dynamo, Revit, I was tasked with finding a precedent building to remodel using the Dynamo software. I chose the Absolute World, also known as the Marilyn Monroe Towers, in Mississauga, ON. It is 50 levels of ellipses continuously rotating about the z-axis. I then pulled the towers into Enscape and rendered them for a perspective view from street level.

This project was to incorporate parametric design features within Dynamo Revit to create a pattern on the exterior side of given wall. I was able to create a patern of circles that extrude at different lengths with the use of attractor lines.

Multi-Generational Condo

This recently completed project was a 7-storey multi-generational condominium complex, with the focus on senior living and barrier free accessibility. This design includes private hexagon shaped balconies, three semi private terraces and a comforting courtyard in the middle.

This studio project introduced me to the research, design and conception of a tiny sustainable building meant to be net zero energy. This meditation and yoga studio uses natural heating from the environment with minimal impact of the existing site.
The building is supported on helical piles drilled into the existing terrain to minimize the demoliiton to the site. Any soild that had to be excavated was then put into the Rammed Earth Wall on the rear side of the yoga studio. This wall also functions as a geothermal heating element due to its high thermal storage capacity. The angle of the roofs allow the sun to heat the studio space in the winter and create enough shade to keep it cool in the summer. Solar panels, wind turbines and reusable rain water systems would be installed as

Dalhousie Dalplex Fitness Centre Addition Halifax,

In my final year at Dalhousie University, our team was tasked with redesigning the structural system of the Dalhousie Dalplex extension. The existing fitness centre got revamped with a new and optimal facility equipped with a large open workout area with varies dance and yoga studios. Some design requirements we had to consider was the wide open workout area, therefore having to design beams and joist that could span long distances. As well as, reducing the noise caused by weights being dropped in the workout area to the level below. This meant using a thick enough concrete slab that would reduce vibrations and deformations while still being economically and structurally viable. Our team was given the architectural drawings to begin our structural design. Through meetings with architects and professors, we came to the conclusion.

For this project, we were tasked with designing and developing working drawings for a warhouse store that includes an open warehouse space for shipping and receiving as well as office spaces for sales employees.
All drawings on our 18 page document were developed on the Autodesk Revit software. Inculded on this page is the site plan and a render taken from Revit.
