This map is based on an overall depiction of the state of New Jersey, which then zooms into Essex County, showing streets, waterways, and buildings.
This map covers Philadelphia, PA and its surrounding counties. It then zooms into University City, centered around Drexel University’s architecture building, known as the URBN Center.
This map relates to both my ethnicity and hometown, centered on the documentation of Judaism in the Hewlett-Woodmere Public School District. Utilizing the Berman Estimation of Jewish Population, along with the locations of kosher establishments and synagouges, I showed the influence of Judaism based on all of these properties.

PHILADELPHIA WELLNESS CENTER
A MENTALHEALTH ORIENTED WELLNESS CENTER IN PHILADELPHIA
SPRING 2022
“The majority of this wellness center’s space is either educational or counseling spaces, making the primary focus on mental health .The roofs are angled in a way that catches both northern and southern light, without directly accepting the brighter and harsher eastern and western light, and the floors of the main building are open to one another, with balconies facilitating sight and gathering around it. These design moves allow light to flow throughout the building, making the space feel open and welcoming.
The feeling of being on the raised ground and looking out to the rest of the world gives a sense of serenity - it makes the yard of the wellness center feel like a protected space in which one can spectate to their heart’s content,” -WELLNESS CENTER NARRATIVE
This project was based on the idea that an open, light-filled space can better one’s mental wellness. After light studies and process work, the idea to lift one end of the roof was

THE BOUNDARY
LOG CABIN IN HOT SPRINGS NATIONAL PARK, ARKANSAS
The Boundary is located in Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas, and is meant to be the boarderline between civilization and the wild. The log cabin is catered towards people coming from the nearby waterpark and those just looking for a nice view of the national park that it borders.
This project was based on designing from base shapes that have been transformed in some way. After a study of nine different combinations of transformations, one was chosen and studied further. After the studies, it was placed in an appropriate site and developed.

LINE OF SIGHT:
While everything is visible at at least one point throughout the building, it is oriented in a way that only one side views the waterpark, while the other three sides have beautiful views of the forest.
SUN/SHADOW:
Being somewhat hilly, this site relies on shadows as a pushing force in building development. The building is never shrouded in shadow, with ample space between buildings to make sure that no area is ever in complete darkness.
A:
The entrance to the Boundary is a small gift shop, in which guests can purchase souviners and waterpark necessities, such as swimsuits and sunblock.
B:
The interior of this log cabin is a combination space, in which one level facilitates leisure, while the slightly higher level is a storage area for those going to the waterpark.
C: The Boundary’s main attraction is it’s viewing deck. Visitors can take in the views of hot springs national park, with its vast forests and abundant wildlife. Those at the nearby waterpark can use this space to dry off and relax before going home.

Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas
This project is on the site of Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas. The building is on the boarder of pure forrest and a developed area that contains a waterpark. My goal was to make a building that would cater to both areas, so I made a lounge with storage lockers for the waterpark, and utilized a rooftop viewing deck to view the beautiful forrest.

CLASSIC HOUSE
A CLASSIC PHILADLEPHIASTYLE ROWHOME IN PHILADELPHIA, PA
The Classic House located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is an exemplification of Philadelphia’s history, going back to the rowhome’s origin of brick construction .
2021
FALL
The chamfers of each building typology are oriented to catch light and create an interesting shadow on the facade.
6AM 10AM 2PM 6PM
Shows how sun plays off of facade at different times throughout the day.
This project emphasized the utility of multi-purpose rooms, due to the fact that they save space, which is a commodity in a city like Philadelphia. The distinction between two and three story homes are due to heights pulled from the surrounding site.
While the front (above) has the chamfers oriented to catch shadow, the flat back-side facade (cover) is not overlooked in its orientation and composition. The windows repeat in a pattern, making the group of houses more cohesive.
