Allegan Public Schools - “Striving for Excellence”
Early College - Allegan County Students in Allegan County high schools who take advantage of the new Early College program can earn free college credits that lead to a two-year degree! A new partnership between AAESA and Lake Michigan College will provide an opportunity to earn an Associate’s Degree during the student’s last few years in high school. Students who are selected for this program will be required to commit to one extra year of high school. By the end of their 13th year, they will not only have earned their high school diploma, but also a 2-year college degree. Tuition is free for students in the Early College program. 10th graders interested in applying for this program should contact their high school counseling office prior to April 1, as a limited number of students will be selected from each school district.
