This report is intended to give you, our stakeholders, a deeper look at Trinity Academy. We’ve included highlights from the 2021-22 school year and a look at Trinity’s financial position.

There are many we wish to thank for partnering with Trinity Academy -- the families who have entrusted us with their children, the donors who have brought our mission to life, and the faculty and staff who have poured their very lives into this ministry.

In August, students came together to worship God and pray for revival. The event was entirely student organized and student led. Trinity is dedicated to creating a rich spiritual environment for student, including weekly Chapel services, Bible classes, and service opportunities.

financials Trinity began the 2021-22 school year with a razor-thin budget. Financial projections estimated that the school would barely finish the year in the black with just $503 to spare. By year-end, the surplus had grown to $134,572. It was a fish and loaves story with God providing for the school’s needs.

TRINITY HOLDINGS 1 Trinity Holdings 1 provides funding for the new Business Center located to the north of the football stadium. Rather than raise tuition at an unsustainable rate, the Business Center is an innovative idea that will help make Christian education affordable for years to come. (See the following page for more information.)

ATHLETICS Athletic revenues are driven by three major categories: (1) annual Golf Classic tournament fundraiser – 22%; (2) athletic fees paid by student-athletes – 19%; and (3) proceeds from Pancake Breakfast – 18%.

The athletic budget is a self-sustainable, net zero budget that is not funded by the tuition paid by Trinity families. In addition, the Booster Club helps fund athletic expenses such as coaching salaries and equipment. In 2021-22, Booster raised over $28,000 through memberships, concessions, and spirit wear sales.

PARENT TEAM The Parent Team conducts two annual events that generate significant income for the school. The Pancake Breakfast & Auction raised $101,000 in November 2021 to benefit K-12 athletics and co-curricular programs. The Living the Miracle Banquet raised $189,260 in pledges and donations in April 2022. Banquet funds are allocated to general financial aid to help make Christian education affordable for more students.

Trinity Holdings

Valley State Bank opened its doors in March on the northeast corner of the Trinity campus. VSB is the second tenant to open in the Trinity Business Center. Businesses located on campus will provide an ongoing source of rental income that can be used to fund student financial aid for years to come. Valley State Bank’s partnership will also include student jobs and financial training. Junior David Bolt was the first student to be hired at the bank. He will be doing transactions for customers, learning customer service, balancing a cash drawer, and more.

Concession Stand & Restrooms In 2021-22, Trinity raised the funds needed to finish and furnish the concession stand and restrooms at the south end of the stadium. Skyrocketing construction costs had slowed the project considerably. The $700,000 facility was fully paid for with donor funds and opened on October 7 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and balloon launch.

Omnicut Basement Trinity raised an additional $350,000 to finish the basement of the building at the north end of the stadium. The facility is a 20,000 square foot building with 10,000 square feet on the main floor for Omnicut Motivational Fitness and 10,000 square feet on the bottom floor for Trinity locker rooms, physical education, sports training, referee quarters, and storage, restrooms and showers. The building opens directly onto the school’s stadium and track. Expected date of completion: January 2023.
