NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION vs HOUSTON DYNAMO GILLETTE STADIUM, Foxborough, Mass. May 19, 2012 (WEEK 11, MLS Game #101) 7:30 p.m. ET (CSN-NE; KPRC-2) It’s a rematch of one of the more pitched rivalries over the past few years, when the New England Revolution play host to the Houston Dynamo on Saturday evening at Gillette Stadium. MLS Cup Final opponents for back-to-back years, the teams are tied in the middle of the Eastern Conference pack. The Revs are coming off a 4-1 home win against Vancouver Whitecaps FC, while the Dynamo finally opened their new home stadium, playing to a scoreless draw with the Portland Timbers at midweek. After a 1-1 draw in the first meeting in Houston, the Revolution won their next four trips to face the Dynamo.  The teams have played for three cups. They met in back-to-back MLS Cup Finals in 2006 and 2007, the Dynamo winning on both occasions (on penalty kicks in MLS Cup 2006; 2-1 in MLS Cup 2007). They also met in the 2008 SuperLiga final (won by New England on penalties).  Coaches record: Jay Heaps vs. HOU: first game … Dominic Kinnear vs. NE: P12 W2 L6 T4 NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION The New England Revolution broke out of a recent spell in impressive fashion, rolling to a 4-1 win against Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Saturday evening at Gillette Stadium. The Revolution are in a tie for fifth place in the Eastern Conference with 12 points from 10 games. LAST MATCH  Eric Hassli started and finished a sweeping Whitecaps FC move after five minutes to open the scoring. The French striker chested down to Davide Chiumiento, prompting Chiumiento's ball down the right channel to Sébastien Le Toux. Hassli made a timely run through the middle and thrashed home Le Toux's pullback.  But the home side were level in the sixth minute. Blake Brettschneider's shot from inside the Whitecaps penalty area deflected off Young-Pyo Lee's back. The ball fell kindly into Lee Nguyen's path and he curled his effort into the lower left-hand corner.  Nguyen playing a critical role in the second goal after 24 minutes, slotting a diagonal ball into Saer Sene on the outside of the penalty area. The French striker turned Vancouver defender Alain Rochat in the area and tucked home the go-ahead tally.  The Revs made 3-1 eight minutes later. Sene crossed the ball in from the right side and Carlyle Mitchell couldn't find a way to deal with the service. The ball fell to Joseph, and he lashed home from the penalty spot.

MLS GAME INFORMATION

The Revolution completed the scoring on 72 minutes. Chris Tierney lofted a throw-in straight into Nguyen's path 25 yards from goal. Nguyen weighed up the ball and then volleyed into the far corner to cap his perfect night.  Revolution head coach Jay Heaps made two changes to the team that went down to a 2-1 defeat by Real Salt Lake at Rio Tinto Stadium. Stephen McCarthy came into the back four for John Lozano, and Saer Sene entered the side in place of Kelyn Rowe.  NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION (4-4-2): Matt Reis - Kevin Alston, A.J. Soares, Stephen McCarthy, Chris Tierney - Benny Feilhaber, Clyde Simms, Shalrie Joseph, Lee Nguyen (Fernando Cardenas 80) - Saer Sene (Diego Fagundez 72), Blake Brettschneider (Alec Purdie 85). TEAM NEWS  Lee Nguyen’s first two-goal night in Major League Soccer came against the club that waived him before the start of the season, after he was signed following a weighted lottery.  “We had a quiet little talk with him and said, ‘Hey, this is a good moment for him.’ You’re going to play against your former team,” said Revolution head coach Jay Heaps. “As a former player who played against my former team, the Miami Fusion, a few times, there is something there when someone says you’re expendable or they want to move on without you.  Said Nguyen:”I wouldn’t say revenge. I’m just relieved. I’m just happy we got the win. The way it ended up I couldn’t have dreamt it any better. I’m just glad for my teammates, we worked hard and we didn’t give up after that first goal. It was a great win.  Nguyen’s opening goal was the fourth the Revolution have scored this year in the opening 10 minutes of games. Three of those goals have come at Gillette Stadium. They have five for the season in the opening quarter-hour – second in MLS (behind New York, with seven).  “I’m a big believer, when you give something up, you’ve got to – it’s the cliché the next five minutes … that’s when you have to take advantage and press a little bit. Maybe you get a corner, maybe you get a free kick,” said Heaps. “But that’s what we were trying to do is get after it right away.  The win against Whitecaps FC opened a stretch of seven of the next nine games for the Revs at Gillette Stadium.  “It felt good to get the win and get three points,” Revolution defender A.J. Soares said. “We've shown that we're a tough team to play at home and that's what we want. We still have stuff we need to tighten up, though. We're not satisfied with the game. We're happy with the result and the three points, but we're really looking at it [and saying] that we need to learn from it.”  After one game out of the starting lineup, Stephen McCarthy returned to central defense, again partnering A.J. Soares.  “They’re starting to gel. Stephen McCarthy has had ups and downs. He’s a second-year player, but it’s his first year playing the position. I think he has all the attributes to be an amazing center back and every week you see glimpses of it,” Heaps said. “But it’s still a learning process. A.J. – you see him getting better and stronger and he’s helping Stephen along. It’s nice to have that partnership.”  Saer Sene scored his second goals in three games and now has four on the season, leading the Revolution.  “We need more performances like that,” Heaps said. “We had a lot of guys have very good games. We need to continue that. We need the very good games to become the consistent games, as opposed to one very good game and then a poor game.”  After playing up top as a lone striker in the Real match and scoring his first goal with the Revs, Blake Brettschneider maintained his place, this time partnered with Sene.  “If nothing else, it was kind of a weight off of my shoulders,” Brettschneider said. “It's always nice to get the first one, especially being with a new club this year and trying to find my form. Confidence-wise, it does a lot for me. It makes it a lot easier. Every touch I take now, it's with a little bit more creativity in mind and looking to get forward to get more shots on goal.” HOUSTON DYNAMO The Houston Dynamo remained unbeaten in their new home, reaching a scoreless draw with the Portland Timbers on Tuesday evening at BBVA Compass Stadium. The Dynamo are in a three-way tie for fifth place in the Eastern Conference with 12 points from 8 games. LAST MATCH  Quality chances were few and far between for both sides. The Dynamo took 19 attempts at goal; Timbers goalkeeper Troy Perkins was called upon to make seven saves.  Houston goalkeeper Tally Hall was credited with two saves.  Dynamo head coach Dominic Kinnear made four changes to the team that took a 1-0 victory against D.C. United at BBVA Compass Stadium. Corey Ashe came into the back four for Andre Hainault, Adam Moffat and Je-Vaughn Watson started in midfield for Nathan Sturgis and Luiz Camargo, and Macoumba Kandji replaced Brian Ching up top.

MLS GAME INFORMATION

HOUSTON DYNAMO (4-4-2): Tally Hall - Jermaine Taylor, Geoff Cameron, Bobby Boswell, Corey Ashe Calen Carr, Nathan Sturgis, Luiz Camargo, Brad Davis (Alex Dixon 74) - Will Bruin (Brian Ching 64), Macoumba Kandji (Colin Clark 71). TEAM NEWS  It was a quick turnaround for the Dynamo after the grand opening of BBVA Compass Stadium barely 72 hours earlier.  “You can’t blame the hoopla because it is pretty special,” Kinnear said. “It’s special what is going on here in the stadium with the fans and the organization. … You don’t want to say it’s back to normal because we hope these types of games are normal.”  The Dynamo still have just the one win since opening the season with a pair of victories – that against D.C. United in the BBVA Compass Stadium opening – and have been shut out in two of the last three games.  “It took us a good first half to get us going. I thought in the second half we were excellent. We had some good chances and [Timbers goalkeeper] Troy Perkins made some good saves,” said Dynamo head coach Dominic Kinnear. “I think as the second half wore on we got stronger and stronger. I give all the credit to the guys. We had a great attitude tonight. All in all we had a pretty good game.”  After conceding goals in five consecutive games following back-to-back shutouts to open the season, the Dynamo have once again gone two straight matches without allowing a goal – and have yet to concede on their new home ground.  “It’s always a process of getting better and better and when we don’t hurt ourselves then it’s difficult to beat us,” goalkeeper Tally Hall said. “I think the last couple of games have been a good example of us being organized and playing well and we’re a difficult team to score on.”  After two consecutive 90-minute shifts following three matches out of the first team with a calf strain, Brad Davis was taken off for a substitute after 72 minutes against Portland.  “We are riding Brad pretty hard right now,” Kinnear said. “I thought maybe I gave him five minutes to many, he may not agree with that but I think he was running on empty a bit. It’s been a good shift of minutes for Brad and we need to make sure we take care of him heading into the next game.”  Calen Carr played the full 90 minutes for the second in three games, having now made three consecutive starts after serving as a substitute for the opening six matches (appearing in five).

NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION VS. HOUSTON DYNAMO

MISCELLANEOUS TEAM NOTES SALUTE TO HEROES ON SATURDAY AT GILLETTE STADIUM In conjunction with Armed Forces Day, the New England Revolution will offer a “Salute to Heroes” this Saturday, May 19, with events and activities surrounding the match against the Houston Dynamo at Gillette Stadium … through a partnership with the U.S.O., the New England Revolution Charitable Foundation has invited members of the Armed Services from all over New England to the game, distributing more than 3,500 tickets to service members … for ticket info and more details on pre- and in-game events, visit revolutionsoccer.net. LEE NGUYEN -- MLS PLAYER OF THE WEEK Following his two-goal, one-assist effort on Saturday in a 4-1 win over Vancouver, Lee Nguyen earned MLS Player of the Week on Monday … the honor comes after the midfielder recorded his first two goals of his MLS career, which also came against his former team … Nguyen’s nod is the club’s first of the season and its first since Week 2 of the 2010 season.

MOVIN’ ON UP ... THE SCORING CHART The Revs’ four-goal match on Saturday propelled the club into a tie for eighth for goals scored (12) with LA and Montreal the Red Bulls lead the league with 23 goals in 11 games … the Revs are just one goal shy of sixth place, held by Sporting KC and Seattle (13 goals, 10 games apiece). ASSIST MEN KEEP PACE With two assists on Saturday in the 4-1 win over Vancouver, the Revs now have 13 assists this season … overall, the club is tied for fifth in MLS – with Colorado – in assists, despite being tied for eighth in overall goal scoring … Shalrie Joseph leads the Revs with three assists, while Lee Nguyen, Saer Sène and Chris Tierney each have two assists.

SENE AND NGUYEN ADDED TO “MLS TEAM OF THE WEEK” For their performance last Saturday against Vancouver, Saer Sene and Lee Nguyen were named to the MLSsoccer.com’s “MLS Team of the Week” ... Nguyen, who already captured MLS “Player of the Week” honors, made his debut on the website’s honorary squad, while Sene’s fourth goal of the season sealed his nomination.

APRIL SHOWERS BRING MAY GOAL-SCORING FLOWERS The Revs are averaging 2.33 goals per game in May, scoring seven goals in the three games since being held scoreless at New York on April 28 … the scoring production in May comes after the team scored just one goal in three games in April … the Revs’ seven goals have already matched the team’s highest May goal total since 2008, when the Revs also scored seven goals, but in five matches … in 2000, the Revolution scored a team-high 12 goals in six May matches.

CLOSE SUCCESS AGAINST THE ORANGE The Revolution is 3-1-1 in its last five meetings against the Dynamo, dating back to a 1-0 win at Houston on July 25, 2009 … in the most recent spate of games, four of the five matches have been one-goal decisions … further, the Revs’ 2-1 win on Oct. 10, 2010, was the only time during the last five games in which a team has scored more than one goal in a match against the other team.

SENE IN SELECT GOAL-SCORING GROUP Saer Sene scored his team-leading fourth goal of the season on Saturday, pushing him into a tie for sixth place on MLS’ 2012 goal-scoring chart … Sene is tied with seven other players who’ve scored four goals this year … league leader Chris Wondolowski has 11 goals, while New York’s Kenny Cooper and Thierry Henry have nine goals apiece … the D.C. duo of Maicon Santos (six goals) and Chris Pontius (five goals) round out the top five.

HOUSTON HAS A MATT REIS PROBLEM Matt Reis is 5-2-4 against Houston in his regular-season career, helping the Revs collect points in nine of 11 matches he’s played. Reis has also backboned the club to five shutouts against the Dynamo in that run. Reis has posted a 0.82 goals against average overall, and made 54 saves, in nine matches against Houston.

THREE (GOALS) FOR THE WIN With four goals on Saturday in the win against Vancouver, the Revs posted their second three-plus goal game this season … the Revs became the fifth club this year to score three or more goals in multiple games this year, joining D.C. (4), New York (4), San Jose (4) and Real Salt Lake (3) …

EARLY GOALS AT GILLETTE ARE GOOD Lee Nguyen’s sixth-minute goal against Vancouver marked the third time in four home matches that the Revs scored in the first 10 minutes of play … the early goals have helped the Revs post a 3-1-0 at Gillette Stadium this year after going 4-7-6 at home in 2011 … Saer Sene scored a first-minute goal on March 24 against Portland while Jose Moreno scored in the sixth-minute against D.C. United on April 14.

WIN NO. 4 COMES “EARLY” With a victory on Saturday, the Revs picked up their fourth win of the season, a feat the Revs accomplished last season in Game #20 on July 20, 2011 … through 10 games this year, the Revs are 4-6-0 and are one win shy of matching the team’s 2011 win total (5) after the club went 5-6-13 in a 34-game season.

FORTRESS FOXBOROUGH RETURINING? With a 3-1-0 record – and a scoring average of 2.00 goals per game - at home this season, Gillette Stadium may be re-transforming into Fortress Foxborough after several seasons … with a .750 winning percentage at home, the Revs are tied with Montreal (2-0-2), Colorado (3-1-0) and San Jose (4-1-1) in home winning percentage … the team’s 2.00 goals per home game are tied with D.C. for fourth in MLS, behind New York (2.60), Colorado (2.25) and San Jose (2.17) … the Revs posted their best home record at Gillette Stadium in 2005, going 11-23 …last year, the Revs went 4-7-6 at home, the team’s fewest wins at the facility in its history (2002 to present). “NGUYEN”ING FANS OVER Lee Nguyen quickly became a fan favorite upon his arrival in Foxborough, but his two-goal, one-assist break-out performance on Saturday against Vancouver – the team that waived him a week before the season opener – solidified his spot in Revs’ fans hearts … Nguyen has appeared in all 10 games, starting 8, but he was unable to break into the scoring column until his two goals against the Whitecaps … Nguyen picked up his first MLS point – an assist – on May 2 against Colorado. SHALRIE STRIKES BACK TO SCORING WAYS One year removed from his team-leading eight goals, Shalrie Joseph scored his first goal of the 2012 season on Saturday – his first goal in 15 games dating back to Sept. 10, 2011 … Joseph hasn’t been a stranger to the scoring line though, as he leads the club in assists this year with three … the Revolution captain averaged at least four goals per season in his first nine campaigns (2003-2011). GOAL-SCORING TIDES TURNING For the first time since Week 5 of the MLS schedule (early April), the Revs enter a game with a scoring average greater tan one goal per game … following a four-goal performance on Saturday, the Revs are averaging a season-high 1.20 goals this year … the Revs’ previous high was 1.00 goals per game after the Revs 3-1 win at LA on March 31, but their average fell after the team scored just one goal in April: a Jose Moreno goal on April 14 against D.C. United.

RETURN OF THE RESERVES ON SUNDAY The Revolution reserves (0-1-0) return to action on Sunday against D.C. United, the team’s first reserve match since April 9 … the Revs’ last three originally-scheduled reserve matches have all been re-scheduled … the Revs’ reserves fell in the team’s only game this season – a 4-2 loss on April 9 at Philadelphia – while Sunday’s match will be the first match of the year for the D.C. reserves … the Revolution reserves went 4-5-1 last season in the Reserve League. THREE POINTS OR BUST? At 4-6-0 on the season, the Revs are one of four teams in MLS without a draw in league play, joining Sporting KC (7-3-0), Toronto (0-8-0) and Colorado (5-5-0) ... through 10 games last season, the Revs tied four times (3-2-4) and finished the season with a club-record 13 draws. A CHANCE AT THREE STRAIGHT WINS AT GILLETTE... Following home wins against Colorado (2-1) and Vancouver (4-1) at home to start the month, the Revs will look on Saturday to win three consecutive games at Gillette Stadium for the first time since the 2010 season ... in 2010, the Revs won three consecutive games from July 10 to Aug. 14: against LA (2-0, July 10), D.C. (1-0 on Aug. 7) and Houston (1-0 on Aug. 15). ... AND TO FINISH THE MAY HOME SLATE PERFECT The last time the Revs went undefeated at home in a one-month period with at least three home games was June 2008 (2-0-1) ... the last time the Revs won three home games in a month was actually August 2007, but the team finished 3-1-0 that month at Gillette Stadium ... the Revs did not win back-to-back games at home last season. GAINING A REPUTATION FOR ONE-GOAL GAMES The Revs have already played seven one-goal games this season, going 2-5-0 in those matches ... only Chivas USA has played more one-goal games this season (eight) … the Revs’ .286 winning percentage in one-goal games ranks 16th in MLS, ahead of Colorado (.250), Portland (.250) and Toronto (.000), while Vancouver is a perfect 4-0-0 (1.00) in onegoal contests.

NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION VS. HOUSTON DYNAMO SEEING A LOT OF GILLETTE STADIUM After playing six of the team’s first nine matches on the road, the Revs finish back-to-back home games this weekend ... in fact, six of the next eight Revolution matches will be played at Gillette Stadium spanning May 12 through July 14 with stand-alone trips to D.C. (May 26) and Toronto (June 23) on deck in the near future … the Revs are 3-1-0 at home so far this year. REVS NEED TO BE BEASTS IN THE EAST All five of the Revs’ upcoming opponents are Eastern Conference foes, and New England will look to improve its record within the conference after an 0-3-0 start against the East this year ... in upcoming weeks, the Revs will take on Houston (Saturday), travel to D.C. (May 26), and then host Chicago (June 2) and Columbus (June 16) before travling to Toronto (June 23) ... all four of the team’s wins have come agains the Western Conference, as the Revs are 4-3-0 against the seven Western teams they’ve already faced.

FIRST-HALF GOALS ARE KEY The Revolution has scored all but two of its 12 goals this season in the first half ... the Revs are ranked second in MLS in first-half goal scoring average with 1.00 goals per first half, behind New York (1.18 goals per first half) … conversely, the Revs’ two second-half strikes rank the Revs last in MLS in second-half goal scoring, with 0.20 second-half goals per game, as D.C. leads the league a 1.08 mark. REIS HAS BEEN THE GO-TO GUY IN NET Matt Reis has played every minute in goal through 10 games this season, marking the first time since 2008 that Reis has done so … in 2008, Reis started the club’s first 19 games of the season and missed just three games that year … Reis missed four games early in 2009 with knee inflammation, 12 games in early 2010 while on the disabled list following off-season shoulder and knee surgeries, and two games early in 2011 with an adductor strain.

BRETTSCHNEIDER STEPS FORWARD Blake Brettschneider has started at forward the last two games for the Revs and has led the Revs to plenty of goal-scoring opportunities ... in a start as the lone-striker on May 5 at Real Salt Lake, Brettschneider scored the team’s only goal ... last Saturday, Brettschneider lined up alongside Saer Sene in Heaps’ 4-4-2 formation against Vancouver, and sent a sixth-minute shot that was deflected right to the foot of Lee Nguyen, who buried the early equalizer ... all four of Brettschneider’s appearances this season have been starts.

LOGGING THE MINUTES, BUT FEW IRON MEN THIS SEASON Matt Reis is the only Revolution player to have played every minute of the team’s 10 games this season, while A.J. Soares and Clyde Simms have followed with 10 starts, and Lee Nguyen 10 appearances … Chris Tierney and Shalrie Joseph have both missed one game while serving suspensions as Tierney was issued a red card in last season’s finale and missed the 2012 season-opener and Joseph was handed a one-game suspension from the MLS Disciplinary Committee for a tackle at FC Dallas on April 5 and missed the start on April 14.

JOSEPH MOVES UP ANOTHER RUNG ON THE REVS’ SCORING LADDER With his 37th career goal on Saturday against Vancouver, Shalrie Joseph moved into a tie with Pat Noonan for fourth place on the Revs’ all-time scoring chart ... Joseph is not far from the second-place slot on the club’s list, as he sits four goals behind Joe-Max Moore (41) in third place and five goals behind Steve Ralston (42) in second place ... Taylor Twellman is the Revs’ all-time leading goal-scorer with 101 goals scored.

Player Reis Simms Soares Joseph Tierney

JOSEPH’S ASSIST TOTALS CLIMB, TOO One season removed from leading the club in goal scoring, Shalrie Joseph leads the Revs in assists with three in 2012 after picking up an assist on Blake Brettschneider’s goal at Real Salt Lake (May 5) … Joseph’s assist was the 34th of his career … he is now one shy of second place on the Revolution’s career assist chart, behind Joe-Max Moore who had 35 … this is the sixth time in Joseph’s career that he has recorded at least three assists … his career high is eight, which he recorded in 2009. REVS SCORING PRETTY GOALS For the second straight week, the Revs have had a player nominated for the AT&T “Goal of the Week,” making the Revs one of just two teams in MLS -- alongside Seattle -- to do so in the same time frame ... Blake Brettschneider’s goal at Real Salt Lake on May 5 was one of the finalists before Lee Nguyen added a spectacular half-volley goal to the upper-right corner against Vancouver ... Saer Sene was a finalist for “Goal of the Week” in Week 3 for his goal in the home-opener against Portland and Jose Moreno was a Week 6 finalist. NGUYEN AND JOSEPH ADD TO TEAM ATTACK With their goals against Vancouver on Saturday, Lee Nguyen and Shalrie Joseph became the seventh and eighth different player to score a goal for the Revolution this season … of the eight Revolution goal scorers this year, including Saer Sene (4) Blake Brettschneider (1), Fernando Cardenas (1), Joseph (1), Jose Moreno (1), Nguyen (2) Kelyn Rowe (1) and Chris Tierney (1), just two scorers - Joseph and Tierney - were members of the Revolution last season. REIS IS TOP THREE IN SAVES Following a four-save performance on Saturday against Vancouver, Matt Reis is now third in MLS in saves with 37 in 10 games, four behind league-leader Ryan Meara of New York (41 saves, 11 games) ... DYNAMO VS. NEW ENGLAND – DYNAMO SET FOR FOURTH GAME IN 11 DAYS The Houston Dynamo (3‐3‐3; 12 points) will return to the road to meet the New England Revolution (4‐6‐0; 12 points) on Saturday at Gillette Stadium. The Dynamo played to a 0‐0 draw with the Portland Timbers on Tuesday in the first night game at BBVA Compass Stadium. Houston had the majority of chances, but could not beat Portland goalkeeper Troy Perkins, who repeatedly thwarted Dynamo chances in the second half. Dynamo ‘keeper Tally Hall recorded his second consecutive shutout and earned his fourth clean sheet of the season. New England earned a 4‐1 home win over the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday. This is the first of two meetings between the Dynamo and Revolution in 2012. Houston vs. New England: The Dynamo and Revolution share a great postseason rivalry, with Houston defeating New England in consecutive MLS Cup Finals in 2006 and 2007. The Dynamo are 2‐6‐4 all‐time against the Revolution in the regular season and 1‐2‐3 in road games at Gillette Stadium. Houston earned a win and draw against the Revs in 2011 after losing three straight meetings from 2010‐11. 2011 Meetings: The Dynamo snatched a 1‐0 win over the Revs on April 17 at Robertson Stadium. In the 86th minute, Cam Weaver smashed a header off the crossbar and Hunter Freeman tapped in the rebound for the late winner. That win ended a four‐game home losing streak for Houston against the Revolution dating to 2007 and was the Dynamo’s first‐ever home win against New England. In the return game Aug. 17 in Foxborough, another late Dynamo goal was vital, as Bobby Boswell buried a rebound near the goal in the 90th minute for a 1‐1 draw.

DYNAMO NOTES

 BBVA Compass Stadium opener: The Dynamo opened the 13 soccer‐specific stadium in Major League Soccer on th

Saturday. On a gorgeous 82‐degree day in front of a sellout crowd of 22,039, the Dynamo honored past legends, including Wade Barrett, Pat Onstad, Eddie Robinson and Craig Waibel in a pregame ceremony that included the unveiling of 2006 and 2007 MLS Cup championship banners. Brad Davis provided a signature opening moment, delivering a beautiful, curling 30‐yard strike for the game‐winning goal in the 67th minute.  Ashe moves to second on franchise list: With his start on Tuesday vs. Portland, Corey Ashe played in his 137th MLS regular season game to move to second on the Dynamo all‐time list, passing Brian Mullan and Pat Onstad.  Boswell Bicentennial: Bobby Boswell faced his former team D.C. United on Saturday for his 200th Major League Soccer appearance in his eight‐year career. The central defender has been very consistent in his career, averaging 27.4 games per season and has played every minute of every match in 2012. Boswell has played at least 23 games in each season and has played full time in 19 consecutive matches dating to Sept. 14, 2011 at Columbus.

 Clean Sheets: The Dynamo earned their fourth clean sheet through nine games in the 0‐0 draw with Portland on Tuesday. Through nine games in 2011, the Dynamo had recorded just one shutout. Houston recorded a total of six shutouts in the 2011 regular season.  Carr Centennial: If Calen Carr plays vs. New England, it will be his 100th MLS regular season appearance.  A Quarter Century to Remember: Brad Davis’ sensational 30‐yard strike against D.C. United on Saturday was his 25th goal in all competitions with the Dynamo. Davis is the third Dynamo player to reach 25 goals, joining Brian Ching (64) and Dwayne De Rosario (32). It was Davis’ 37th MLS regular season goal.  D.C. Winless in Houston: With the 1‐0 win over D.C. United, the Dynamo have never lost to the Red and Black in Houston. The Dynamo are 6‐0‐1 all‐time against D.C. in Houston.  Offensive: The Dynamo produced 38 shots in their first two games at BBVA Compass Stadium. Tuesday vs. Portland, the Orange bombarded Troy Perkins with 18 shots. On Saturday, the Dynamo outshot D.C. United 20‐4 for their most shots in a game this season. Houston set a franchise record with 27 shots vs. New England on April 17, 2011 at Robertson Stadium.  Davis Milestone: Brad Davis started against D.C. United on Saturday for his 150th MLS regular season start with the Dynamo. Davis is the franchise leader in regular season starts.  175 for Ching: Brian Ching started on Saturday vs. United for his 175th appearance for the Dynamo in all competitions. He is the fourth Dynamo player to reach 175 (Brad Davis, Brian Mullan, Corey Ashe).  Cameron the Ironman: Geoff Cameron has started and played full time in 39 consecutive matches (playoffs included), the most among Houston field players. Cameron has played 3,486 consecutive minutes in MLS play (playoffs included), since he did not play on May 4, 2011 vs. Colorado. Goalkeeper Tally Hall leads all players with 43 consecutive starts. Brad Davis’ streak of 45 consecutive starts was broken at Chicago on April 15 due to a calf strain.  Cameron Climbing: With Cameron’s next appearance, he will reach 141 appearances in all competitions to pass Wade Barrett for seventh on all‐time list.  Lineup Shuffle: Faced with the task of keeping players fresh during a stretch of four games in 11 days, Dominic Kinnear made several changes to his lineup against Portland. Macoumba Kandji made his second start of the season in place of Brian Ching. Nathan Sturgis and Luiz Camargo started at center mid in place of Adam Moffat and Je‐Vaughn Watson. Corey Ashe entered the lineup at left back and Jermaine Taylor shifted to right back in place of Andre Hainault.  Boswell Milestone: Bobby Boswell’s start at New York on May 9 was his 150th Dynamo start in all competitions. He is the fifth Dynamo player to start 150 (Brad Davis, Pat Onstad, Brian Mullan, Brian Ching).  Corey Ashe made his 175th appearance for the Dynamo in all competitions at D.C. on April 28. He is the third Dynamo player to reach 175 appearances in all competitions (Brad Davis, Brian Mullan).  Brian Ching’s start against D.C. United on April 28 was his 150th start in all competitions for Houston to become the fourth Dynamo player to make 150 starts (Brad Davis, Pat Onstad, Brian Mullan).  Will Bruin scored in three consecutive games (4/15, 4/21, 4/28) to mark the fifth time a Dynamo player has scored in three consecutive games (Bruin 2012, Ching 2006, 2008; Joseph Ngwenya 2007; Stuart Holden 2009).

 A Hundred for Hainault: Andre Hainault made his 100th Dynamo appearance in all competitions on April 21 at Columbus, becoming the 15th player to reach 100 appearances in franchise history.  The three goals allowed by the Dynamo on April 28 at D.C. United marked the first time Houston has allowed three goals in a game since Sept. 10, 2011, a 3‐0 loss at Sporting Kansas City. The Dynamo went 15 games without allowing three goals in that stretch.  Possession: Despite playing their first seven games on the road, the Dynamo have won the possession battle in seven of nine games on the season and had slim disadvantages in the others. Houston had a 60‐40% advantage vs. Portland, 56% vs. D.C., 53% at New York, 54% at D.C., a slim 49‐51% disadvantage at Columbus, 55% at Chicago, 56% at Seattle, a narrow disadvantage (48‐52%) at San Jose, and 53% at Chivas USA.  First Road Win of 2012: Houston’s 1‐0 win over Chivas USA erased bad memories of the 2011 road schedule. It took Houston 16 games to record its first road win of the 2011 campaign. After a 0‐6‐9 start, the Dynamo defeated FC Dallas 1‐0 at Pizza Hut Park on September 24.  Clutch: Brian Ching’s equalizer in the 81st minute at Columbus on April 21 and Andre Hainault’s game‐winner two minutes into stoppage time at Chivas USA on March 11 were reminiscent of 2011 for the Dynamo. Last year, Houston scored 14 goals in the final 15 minutes of games, second best in MLS (Seattle).  Six years after the club’s first match on April 2, 2006, only two players remain on the Dynamo roster: Brian Ching and Brad Davis. Defender Eddie Robinson retired in January and joined the front office as an assistant coach with the team’s Youth Academy and as a color analyst on TV broadcasts. UP NEXT: MLS CUP 2011 REMATCH ON NBC SPORTS NETWORK After Saturday’s game at New England, the Dynamo return to BBVA Compass Stadium on May 26 for a rematch of MLS Cup 2011 with the LA Galaxy. The match will begin at 1:30 p.m. on NBC Sports Network. The match is sold out.
