Student spotlight... Weâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;d like to introduce you to Jeremy Smith. He is currently studying the Bachelor of Audio Production at SAE Institute Perth, Australia. Hereâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s what he has to say about his experience at SAE Institute.

Tuesday... Monday...

Tuesday morning is my favourite class MIDI and Electronic Music. I'm working on my next assignment, which is an electronic remix.

To start off the week, I squeeze in some study in the morning, before getting the train to school for Music Styles in the afternoon.

Wednesday... My day off! I usually start the morning either surfing or boating because I live close to the ocean, or I ride my bike. I'll spend the afternoon studying or working on assignments, and then do some prep for work tonight, like putting together a few playlists for my DJ residency set at a nightclub in the city.

Friday... After Creative Project 1 in the morning, I'll stay on campus to do some study in the library. My classmates and I usually wind down in the afternoon at a nearby pub before I head to work for my DJ set at 9pm.

Saturday... I'll mostly take it easy on Saturdays by going for a surf or bike ride. Saturday nights I play at various nightclubs supporting some of my favourite artists.

Thursday... Sunday... I usually sleep in on Sundays, then spend the afternoon studying in the sun in my backyard.

Thursday mornings I'll get a sleep in, then head to the campus for my Studio Production class in the afternoon. I'll spend the evening in the studio either recording a band or working on mixing assignments.

ESOS ACT

It is an Australian requirement that all student visa holders must maintain overseas student Health Cover for the full duration of their study in Australia. SAE Institute and Qantm College Student Administration will assist students to obtain appropriate Health Cover. It is also recommended that students obtain accident and travel insurance prior to leaving their home country. If you are studying outside of Australia, check with your agent.

Once we have received your ‘Acceptance of Offer’, commencement fee payment, and electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE) request form, an electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE) will be issued to you. All student visas have mandatory conditions, including: that you must remain enroled; you cannot undertake work until you commence your studies and you cannot change institution within the first six calendar months of your program. Mondays I have Storyboarding and Scripting from 10am till 1. I get to create a script with a group of people then at the end storyboard it in Flash.

I have Game Level Design that day. I stay late working on creating a game level in UDK, with my group for our assessment.

A day off, though I am always in at QANTM, studying and watching tutorials till late evening.

Another day off. I am either working as a Graphic Designer or Film Splicer, at my part time job, otherwise I am at QANTM again, working away.

Thursday...

Saturday... Saturdays I am either working on assessments or creating concept art, game art and assets for Team Sakura, I am the Creative Director.

Sunday... Again working hard on assessments, this day I make time to go see friends, cook or I'm creating ideas for future animation projects.
