What is beauty?

A woman is a symbol of life, a guardian of the family, spiritual support, a support for a man. In this day and age, we are so busy with our careers or our family that we get lost in all of that and forget about ourselves.

Beauty standards for women have changed countless times over the years.

Perceptions surrounding beauty and body types not only vary by culture but have evolved significantly throughout history. Though we know that every body type is beautiful, regardless of societal standards, the world has constantly been changing its mind on which look is “best.”

Unfortunately, not all women initially realize their beauty. Lots of fear and self-doubt appear due to strict beauty standards imposed by the media and the public.

This fear doesn’t allow many girls to believe that, despite the complete noncompliance with standards and norms, they are beautiful. Even incredibly self-confident, intelligent women, despite their strength, remain fragile, tender, and vulnerable humans in their souls that need assurance.

Contemporary fine art portraits are a wonderful way to highlight feminine beauty.

I have heard all the excuses: “I’m not photogenic.”

“I’m not pretty enough.”

“I just need to lose x amount of weight. ”With the help of good lighting and the right poses, you can not only emphasize the advantages of a woman’s appearance but also make her small flaws completely invisible.

We are all photogenic There is something magical when you look to before & afters. You probably have seen them more often: makeovers on television, on the internet, or in a magazine. They show that side of a person that they have not seen before or not seen for a long time.

It's not only the make-up and the beautiful dresses and styling...These people feel a lot of emotion and show a part of themselves that was hidden. They feel confident and had new motivation to make a new start.

Were they not beautiful before?... Of course, they were... But we women are always busy with others... children, husband, family, work, house and many of us also have a job outside the house.. there is not much "me time" anymore.

We glance at the woman in magazines and think..."if I could look like that.."

Why Prints matter?

We’ve heard it time and time again – a picture is worth a thousand words.

I think that’s so true.There’s so much that you can learn by looking at a picture.

They tell stories without having to say anything. It’s a moment stopped in time.

Pictures are the perfect way to remember moments and feelings that can never really fully be explained to other people. And there’s something special about looking back at a picture and reliving that moment over and over again.

The sad part is that most of the pictures we take nowadays only live a digital life. They are stuck on a screen and never get the chance to be printed. Sure, there are some pictures that only you need to see, but there are even more pictures just begging to be printed and preserved. They are waiting to be hung on your wall, but most of them won’t end up there.

They won’t end up documented on a scrapbook page or in a photo album. They will end up on your Facebook page or in an album on your phone. This is the way we live life now – on screens.

Booking a shoot The experience, what does it really means?

That there is a shoot that will be clear. But how you, as the model get really in the process of this experience, I will briefly explain that to you.

Application & consultation You have seen my website and portfolio and are enthusiastic.

You are thinking to give yourself or a loved one this present. After reading this brochure you would like to book a shoot.

After receiving your request by mail I will send you a short questionnaire after which we have a telephone, Skype/Zoom, or studio call.

I like to get to know you better.

Who are you, what is your story, for whom are you doing this shoot?

I like to hear your vision and desires about the shoot.

Advise We discuss clothing and make-up and we design a concept for your shoot.

Then we schedule a date. The payment for the reservation of the date of the shoot is done prior to shooting.

The day of the Shoot The big day has arrived. You arrive at my studio at the appointed time.

We will drink something, we talk with the make-up artist and will have a look at your outfits. The make-up artist will start with your make-up.

After that, we will start the session. I indicate your poses and we work with different backgrounds.

I will take my time to make the best images for you...

Please reserve your time as well for the shoot to prevent stress.

This day should be for YOU!! Don't forget to go out afterwards, you look too good not too!!

Reveal session After 2/3 weeks we make a new appointment for viewing your images!

You can view your images during the reveal session for the first time.

Bring a family member or a friend.

It is always nice to do this with someone together!

You can admire your images and choose the one you like to purchase.

The choice is entirely up to you!

After the reveal session, you choose the pictures you like to take home.

Some people spend 2000 euro, others 200 euro.

It is totally up to you what you would like to take home.

With each image you buy, you will receive the print with a passe-partout, plus the high-resolution digital file.

You can order even larger prints, a nice folio box, or a frame on your wall.

You decide what you like to buy!

Do you exist in pictures?

We are very strict with ourselves and often see only the negative side and forget that there is a very beautiful woman deep within us. And I want to show you that woman!

Your children will want to remember you when they hugged up to you when they were sad or tired. They want to know that you were around, that you were happy, and that you were prepared to get in a photo.

BEHIND THE CAMERA MEET THE PHOTOGRAPHER I was born and raised in Holland and have been living with my husband and son in Spain and Turkey and since 2013 we have settled in France close to the Geneva area.

I have always been with my camera during my travels but in 2018 I decided to take the daring step to start my Portrait Photography business. I was mostly selftaught but assisted also on several courses and workshops from awarded photographers to amplify my Know-How about posing, contemporary Portraits and Fine Art Photography.

My work has won different awards, nominees en honorable mentioning in world wide competitions in the last years.

I know what beauty looks like. I can see yours. I think it's beautiful when people embrace who they are also with imperfections. Likewise, it is rewarding when images express unique beauty.

It’s my mission to help you feel comfortable in front of my camera and to make beautiful images. This is why I will do my best to create portraits for you and your family to cherish.
