1 Restaurant Design

The design proposal for the new Sanabowls location aims to establish a warm and inviting atmosphere that reflects the philosophy of "healthy fast food" and the homemade essence that distinguishes the brand. By leveraging the colour palette already used by the restaurant on its social media. Natural materials and cozy elements will be combined to create a homely ambiance that invites customers to enter and enjoy their dining experience.

The Client Background

Sanabowls is a cozy restaurant that is in the process of opening a second location. Their proposal focuses on "healthy fast food," offering delicious and nutritious options. The client's goal is to maintain the essence of the first location, bringing the concept of home into a new space that invites customers to feel comfortable and welcomed. It is a young business with growth potential, seeking a modern and attractive look to capture the attention of potential customers on social media. Furthermore, by merging contemporary style with natural and minimalist elements, a cozy and modern environment will be achieved that aligns with the "healthy fast food" philosophy. This combination will allow Sanabowls to highlight its identity and offer a unique experience to its customers.

Cozy and Natural

Taking into account the client’s low budget and the space, we decided to keep the existing floor and sanitary fixtures and work from there. A thorough study of the distribution was conducted while ensuring compliance with the regulations of the Community of Madrid. The result was a cozy, charming, and contemporary design that integrated the vintage tiles, creating a warm atmosphere. By optimizing the layout for efficiency, a functional workspace for the staff was achieved, enhancing their workflow and overall effectiveness. Additionally, various materials, textures, and the brand's colors were incorporated following the principles of biophilic design, along with lighting solutions, resulting in a harmonious combination that enriches the ambiance for diners

Lighting Design

To provide a complete design, I developed a lighting concept that complements the design proposal and enhances the overall environment. In the dining area, warm lighting is used alongside decorative rattan lamps, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. This is complemented by indirect LED lighting that softly illuminates the space, ensuring a relaxed ambiance for diners. The proposal provides a homely and welcoming space. The lighting design begins at the window, allowing clients to view the design from outside the restaurant, inviting them to enter and relax while enjoying their meal.

Counter Design

This custom-built counter was designed with both functionality and aesthetics in mind. The worktop is crafted from durable wood, the structure is made from drywall, ensuring a sturdy base that is lightweight yet robust. To further protect the integrity of the counter, it has been coated with a moisture-resistant material, giving it a stylish stone-slate look that seamlessly blends with the restaurant's overall design concept. The counter was designed to fit the specific needs of the team, optimizing workflow and ensuring easy access to essential equipment. It features dedicated spaces for a refrigerator, dishwasher, cold table, etc, enhancing both efficiency and functionality during service

1 Bathroom Design

The design was made for a young couple living in Santos, Brazil, a new and modern arrangement was proposed, maintaining the pre-existing sanitary facilities. The design proposal blended the japandi style with biophilic design by incorporating natural elements like plants, natural light, and organic forms. I used natural, sustainable, and non-toxic materials such as concrete, wood, and stone to create a harmonious environment in contact with nature, intending to improve the connection between the occupants and the environment, provide aesthetic, health benefits, and wellness.

Natural and Contemporary

Natural and sustainable materials were proposed. To create a storage area, I designed a piece of furniture made of white micro cement that recreates organic shapes with embedded LED lights, adding a contemporary touch. The same material was used for the vanity. A hidden drain is located beneath the teak shower tray, adding a feeling of warmth. For the bathtub area, a Boulder floor with a hidden drain was proposed as well to add visual texture

Polished cement was used for the rest of the floor and in some walls to tie the different elements together cohesively

Living room Design 2

This cozy design was created for a young couple living in a rural town in Spain. I considered the limits of the pre-existence and utilized the space to create an aesthetic and functional arrangement. Design techniques for wellness and comfort, such as anthropometry, biophilia, and Feng Shui, were applied. This low-budget proposal included a natural colour palette that promotes relaxation, and modern items were incorporated to give a more contemporary feel.

Storage Solutions

An additional piece of furniture has been proposed to maximize storage space, offering a sleek extension to the existing setup above the fireplace. This added furniture enhances functionality and adds a modern touch to the room ' s ambiance. I propose veneered bamboo in similar colors to the original woods, complemented with white MDF panels
