Loch Katrine Cruise and the Falkirk ✓ Wheel: A full day exploring the ✓ Trossachs, with a cruise along Loch Katrine. We continue to Falkirk, to enjoy a trip on the Falkirk Wheel, a rotating boat lift connecting the Forth and Clyde Canal with the Union Canal.
Bo’ness and Kinneil Railway with Afternoon Tea and The Kelpies: Visit the world famous Kelpies, the largest equine sculpture in the world, at 30m they are a monument to Scotland’s horse-powered industrial heritage. We make our way to Bo’ness for our steam railway journey along the shores of the Forth Estuary, whist enjoying afternoon tea. Glasgow to Oban on the West Highland Line: We head for Glasgow for our train journey along the world famous West Highland Line to Oban. A side of Scotland you can only see from the train – a Great Scenic Rail Journey that carries you along the West Coast, through the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, to Oban, where there is free time. The coach will be waiting to return you to the hotel.

Included Excursions Drumlanrig Castle and Robert Burns Museum: We head to Drumlanrig Castle and Country Estate where we enjoy a one hour guided tour. There are 40 acres of gardens to explore. We continue to the Robert Burns Centre, a celebration of the enduring legacy of Scotland’s national poet, visit his humble cottage and explore the museum, travel over the Brig O Doon and visit the monument. Devils Porridge Museum and Dumfries: The Devils Porridge Museum is an amazing exhibition which tells the story of arguably the greatest munitions factory on earth, where 30000 women came together to produce explosives in WWII. The afternoon is free to explore Dumfries. Sweetheart Abbey, Solway Coast and Threave Gardens: We stop at Sweetheart Abbey, the remarkable complete abbey church doing its best to inspre 700 years on, then follow the Solway Coast, passing the tiny villages of Kirkbean, Sandyhills and Barnbarroch to Kirkcudbright, a harbour town popular with artists. We finish the afternoon at Threave Garden, with its secret garden, rockery and walled garden.
