Friday We travel south to Oakham Treasures, one of the largest privately owned museums of retail and farming history in the UK that guarantees to give you an amazing and uplifting trip down memory lane.

Whether you are 8 or 80, you will be fascinated by this vast and unique collection of memorabilia from the last century. There really is something for everybody, from the thousands of items in the historic stores, to the impressive display of vintage tractors and farm equipment. From here it is a short drive to our hotel and our 2-night stay.

Saturday This morning we board a Bristol Packet boat for a tour of the city docks with a live and entertaining commentary to see the sights of Bristol and learn about the city’s history and culture. Following our cruise, we visit the Dockyard to discover Brunel’s SS Great Britain, said to be the ship that changed the world!

Sunday Departing our hotel, we visit the beautiful city of Bath, where you will have opportunity to explore the most renowned parts of the ancient city, which are conveniently concentrated in the compact city centre. Explore the Abbey, Roman Baths and view the famous Pulteney Bridge or just relax on the banks of the River Avon. You may also wish to take a boat trip on the river or enjoy an open top bus tour of the city centre to learn all about the history of this fascinating city. We return home during the early evening.

The Battle of Britain was a major air campaign fought largely over southern England in the summer and autumn of 1940, in which the RAF defended the United Kingdom against large-scale attacks by Nazi Germany’s air force, the Luftwaffe. Join us on this memorial tour to Kent to discover why, in the words of Sir Winston Churchill, “Never was so much owed by so many to so few”!

Friday We head to Bentley Priory Museum, to uncover the fascinating story of this beautiful Grade II listed country house, focusing on its role as Headquarters Fighter Command during the Battle of Britain. Explore the important stories of those who defended our skies and those who worked tirelessly on the ground that allowed Britain’s darkest hour to also be her finest hour. We continue to RAF Hendon – a museum that celebrates the story of aviation from the Wright Brothers to the RAF of the 21st century, with one of the world’s finest collections of legendary aircraft and associated exhibits. We then continue to our hotel for our 2-night stay.

Saturday We visit the Battle of Britain Museum at Hawkinge, a former RAF base where much of the 1960’s film about the battle was filmed; the museum has many of the aircraft used in the film plus an incredible collection of memorabilia. Next, we continue to the striking RAF memorial at Capel-le-Ferne, dedicated to those who flew and gave their lives in the Battle of Britain.

Sunday Departing after breakfast we visit RAF Manston where we see the Spitfire and Hurricane Museum and small museum dedicated to the RAF Station. We continue to Canterbury before returning home during the late afternoon.

Sunday We head to Chatham Historic Dockyards. If you’re one of the many fans that fell in love with the award-winning TV adaptation of, Call the Midwife, then you can jump into the heart-warming world created by Jennifer Worth with the Official “Call the Midwife” tour. Led by your very own costumed midwife you will walk along the roads, and pass slums and warehouses which are the midwife’s backdrop as they cycle around the east end. We also have time to discover one of Britain’s leading maritime heritage attractions with Three Historic Warships, a working Victorian Ropery, Historic Lifeboat Collection, Dockyard Railway, Hearts of Oak digital theatre and play areas, plus magnificent collections from two national museums

Monday We depart our hotel for Leeds Castle where we enjoy a self-guided visit. This elegant 12th century castle rises majestically from the waters of its moat and is surrounded by 500 acres of interesting parkland and gardens. Find out about the Castle’s 900-year history – from being a Norman stronghold through 300 years of Royal ownership to then becoming Henry VIII’s resplendent Tudor Palace. We return home during the early evening.

The RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show is the world’s biggest annual flower show. Marvel at the beautiful flowers in the rose marquee and the innovative conceptual gardens showcasing the next big names in garden design. Watch demonstrations by celebrity gardeners around the showgrounds and get the latest gardening tips.

Friday Today we visit Hampton Court Flower Show, where we join the thousands of gardening fans looking to enjoy the abundance of floral delights. There will be water gardens, conceptual gardens, contemporary and traditional gardens to suit all tastes. Hundreds of the UK’s best nurseries will fill the floral marquees. There are hundreds of opportunities to buy gifts, floral art and floristry. Fruit and vegetables will also be a major part of the show, so overall it makes a glorious day out! Later, we continue to our hotel for dinner and our overnight stay (Dinner will be served in a Private Meeting Room).

Saturday After breakfast we head for Windsor, this Royal town has always been a popular choice. We have included entrance to the magnificent castle and the remainder of your time can be spent browsing the shops, or why not head to the river and enjoy a lovely sail. We return home during the late afternoon.
