Firstly, you need to check the network status on your server computer and workstations to resolve the company file missing error.
•Access the Runwindow and type CMD in the search box to run the command.
•Hit OK and type ipconfig/allto find and note down the server names.
•Type Pingalong with your server name and hit Enter to ping your server.
•If you experience any packet loss, there are issues with your network that can be fixed by running the QuickBooks File Doctor

Every file has a specific extension, and you need to make sure you are using the right file extension.
•Go to the QuickBooks Filemenu and select Open or Restore Company to restore the file.
•Browse for the QuickBooks file with the following extensions and click Nextto access it.
•To open a backup file, .QBB
•To open the company file, .QBW
•To open the accountants’ copy transfer file, .QBX
