Triggers of QuickBooks Error 6010 and the fixes

This is primarily due to interruptions from the antivirus installed on your computer or the Database Server Manager that has stopped running in the background. In return for your attempt to open your company file, you’ll receive an error message prompting you to reinstall QuickBooks on your computer.

Using QuickBooks in Admin mode prevents it from getting interrupted by any other program running on your computer. Special permissions are granted, allowing it to access the company files inside the folders without worrying about folder permissions.
Follow the steps given below to use the Administrator mode-
• Go to the search panel and type ‘QuickBooks.’
• Do not open the program; instead, right-click on the QB icon.
• Select Run as administratorfrom the options.
• Try to access the company file after QuickBooks runs in admin mode.
• If the issues persist while opening the company file, try the next method.
The Network descriptor file(.nd) is responsible for establishing a connection with the company file hosted in a multi-user environment. If this file deals with any issues, the multi-user network is directly affected, causing the user to face an error while opening the company file. Follow the steps given below to fix this issue-
• Go to the folder containing your QuickBooks files.
• Search for a file with the same name as your company and extension .nd.
• Right-click on the file and click Rename.
• Add ‘.old’ at the end of the file name.
• The error will be fixed after using these methods.
