Description: I am currently a student attending Cedar High School in Cedar City, UT. My long-term goal is to become a full-time patent attorney. To prepare myself, I’ve held leadership positions in clubs at school and have been involved in concurrent enrollment with Southern Utah University. With my academic experience, I am proficient in using Microsoft Office programs and am comfortable with working at a computer. I’d like to work at a law firm doing office work as I have done in the past. Academics: Williston High School Williston, North Dakota Freshman Year 2011-2012 ● Became a member of the Future Business Leaders of America ● Managed an FBLA store and concessions area during football, volleyball, and basketball games Cedar High School Cedar City, Utah Sophomore Year 2012-2013 ● Became a second-year member of FBLA ● Competed in my first FBLA competitive project: Partnership with Business and placed 4th in the state Junior Year 2013-2014 ● Enrolled in concurrent classes (History 1700 & Spanish 1010) at SUU ● Became President of the FBLA chapter of Cedar High School ● Competed in the FBLA state competition with Business Plan project; placed 4th in the state ● Helped achieve 3rd placing chapter in the state for FBLA-opoly ● Played on the Cedar High School tennis team Senior Year 2014-2015 ● Competed in the Business Plan competition for FBLA again ● Enrolled in two more concurrent enrollment courses with SUU (English 1010 & Nutrition 1020) ● Became President of Cedar High School’s Spirit Club ○ Decorated school buses for state athletic events ○ Provided halftime games and activities for students at home athletic competitions ● Became a member of Student Senate at Cedar High School ● Became a member of DECA at CHS ● Played tennis at Cedar High again Work Experience: Taylor Business Advisors (June 2014 - Present) I currently do on-the-side office work that includes scanning, creating invoices, and making spreadsheets.
