L’Oreal Appoints First Indian Managing Director
A Clichy-based personal care company, L’Oreal said that it has appointed Amit Jain as its new India Managing Director. Amit Jain will L’Oreal India from August 1 and will take on an important position within the L’Oreal group. The company has been operating in India since 1994. Furthermore, the company added that besides India Jain will look its operation in Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka. Amit Jain will report to Pierre-Yves Arzel, Vice-President – South AsiaPacific Zone and Jochen Zaumseil. Prior to this, he has worked with various companies like Coca-Cola, Viacom, Akzo Nobel and many more over 30 years. Pierre-Yves Arzel said, “We believe that Amit’s rich global experience with a deep understanding of India, transformational leadership skills, and inclusive personality will be an important asset in further developing L’Oreal’s business in India.” Further, he added, His mission is to build on our rich talent base and global brands, to make L’Oreal India an engine for growth in Asia.
