Term two also saw us continue in our annual tree planting, weeding and beach cleanup at Leighton Beach. As part of the Perth NRM Coast Care program Roots & Shoots has adopted a part of Leighton Beach that we care for, plant and weed each year. We planted over 250 seedlings and followed it up by a beach clean-up for Plastic Free July. We were also given the opportunity to plant seedlings at Cantonment Hill to improve habitat and biodiversity.

We have achieved a lot this term and are really looking forward to our plans for the rest of the year. If you know of any students who would like to come and join us, we meet in B3 every Friday lunchtime. All Welcome.
