Issue 2019 – 7 Many politicians and non-profit organizations don't appreciate the good and don't work enough correcting the real bad stuff.

They aim at other problems: carbon dioxide - the molecule of life and extreme right and extreme left hot button issues.

Here are good and bad things we think about at allaboutenergy.net. All the following pictures have something to do with the question: Should we continue to use fossil fuels and nuclear energy?

Poverty is the number one cause for a shorter life in the United States. These people live an average of 3,500 days (almost 10 years) less than people better off.

Other factors can be additive. Poor people everywhere have little fossil fuels, hydroelectric, nuclear energy. They have terrible economies and government leadership. Many man-made global warming alarmists are anti-human, return-to-raw-nature, leave-it-in-the-ground fanatics. Why do nuclear organizations join in the idea of stopping use of fossil fuels? How good is their science? Are their motives altruistic and for the common good?

Massive, needless pollution

Pollution like this exists in countries with weak economies and bad governments.

Not in Europe. The world should work to help prevent this pollution, not promote carbon capture and sequestration, not carbon cap and trade, not stop fossil fuels.

Poor planning for transportation is still happening all over the world. It has to get better.

How many more years are we going to be in rush hour mega stop-and-go traffic jams morning and evening everywhere? Cities need to be designed so people can enjoy living closer to work and so many more of us can use mass transit.

Solutions include more freedom, not less, good governments, sound economies, good education systems, plentiful energy with fossil fuels, hydro-electric and nuclear, good planning for urban centers, smarter transportation, and managing extremists and unsound science in the media and national conversations.

Many contributors to the All About Energy website recognize the tremendous importance of fossil fuels and the need to progress with nuclear power and nuclear medicine wherever possible. The world is a beautiful place in many instances and can be made beautiful in most places. These are many problems that need solving.

Fossil fuels and nuclear are essential for this work.

Decarbonization, carbon capture and storage are not necessary and will waste trillions of dollars.
