Countries need to work together for sound energy planning, minimize wars over resources and industrial accidents. We need maximum reliability of power plants and power distribution grids. There should be a balance between needs of humanity, the environment, wildlife, and financial resources.

Here are six short sections with links to information in allaboutenergy.net and other sources: 1) ENERGY AND BY-PRODUCTS Six major countries have offered or are offering to build nuclear power plants in other countries: Canada, China, France, Russia, South Korea, and the United States. The world depended on these six countries to help establish nuclear power around the world.

Three countries currently interested in proceeding with nuclear power are Jordan, South Africa and Turkey. There are only two countries ready to help them now: Russia and South Korea. Their nuclear power export industries currently are the most advanced in the world.

The USA had the best program with export of Pressurized Water Reactors and Boiling Water Reactors in the 1970s and 80s. Today, Russia and South Korea lead the nuclear power export industry with their focus on safety, reliability, delivering large projects as close to on time and on budget as possible.

China has an excellent nuclear program, but they are concentrating on meeting their own needs in the coming decades.

Canada, France and the United States are no longer seeking to build many large nuclear power plants in other countries.

This is a great disappointment from their intentions of the 1960s and 70s.

Before the world makes a push to build many more existing technology nuclear power plants, several things should be completely overhauled. Click here for a list of key problems that must be solved.

2) RADIATION The universe is bathed in radiation. Anti-nuclear energy and anti-nuclear medicine alarmists insist that we live practically without any man-made radiation. That is one of the most sinister impositions on mankind of all the evils that have happened. It deprives civilization of nuclear medicine and nuclear energy. They wouldn’t mind if the world continues treating illnesses with leaches and heating homes and cooking with animal dung or wood.

Regulatory bodies worldwide go along with these outrageously bad radiation safety practices by imposing the Linear No-Threshold and Collective Dose radiation safety guidelines and ALARA, As Low As Reasonably Achievable. ALARA means the world should continue to add more unnecessary safety systems and procedures to lower radiation exposure. That is like adding heavy safety systems to airplanes to reduce the remote possibility of a crash. It will never work.

Nuclear medicine and nuclear energy experts want radiation safety guidelines to be based on practical science. Mohan Doss at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA is an excellent example.

He is the head of SARI and XLNT. 3) RADIOISOTOPES AND NUCLEAR MEDICINE Diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine are very important medical fields. They have been used for nearly one hundred years. But the United States had little interest in producing the radioisotopes until only recently.

It is part of radiation phobia at the highest levels of government. The rest of the world is passing the USA by. The World Council on Isotopes is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea.

4) YOUTH Education of youth is key to the future of nuclear medicine and nuclear power. While students in western cultures stay away from school to protest the falsehood about catastrophic man-made global warming, students in China pursue excellent opportunities for education in nuclear science and technology. 5) PEOPLE Some faiths claim that humans are created in the image of an almighty and benevolent God. Unfortunately, many people are not. Humans and their immediate predecessors have been killing each other regularly for more than 400,000 years.

Nuclear power was proposed as an Atoms for Peace Program. Should nuclear plants be designed based on the fact that humans fight all out wars?

It is easy to replace bombed out fossil fuel plants. Bomb destroyed nuclear plants would be a mess. War and extreme terrorism resistant power plants would provide essential power during and after hostilities.

6) ENVIRONMENT

Who wants the oceans to be fished out, marine life destroyed, coastal areas filled with offshore wind turbines and oil and gas rigs, the land occupied by apartments, condos, skyscrapers, shopping centers, parking lots, ten lane highways filled with crawling traffic and mega-farms? No countryside, no unspoiled forests, no wild rivers, no birds, no wildlife?
