Ocean Currents

Since the 1960s, alarmist climate change reports by the UN IPCC, World Economic Forum, Sierra Club, Green Peace, Natural Resources Defense Council, the Vatican, National Academies of Science, Union of Concerned Scientists, their early predecessors, thousands of other organizations and individuals, and even some non-alarmist scientists have focused on infrared radiation coming off the heated land and ocean surfaces and acting on “greenhouse gases” in the atmosphere. They claim this process determines Earth’s weather, climate, and regional temperatures.
Most are supporting man-made global warming alarmism to stop the use of fossil fuels and sequester man-made carbon dioxide, turning it to stone!!! This isn’t climate science! Man-made carbon dioxide is not the major factor in determining weather, climate, and regional temperatures.
For certain, sunlight heats the Earth, and infrared radiation is the only way for excess heat to escape back to space. What is in question is that the climate change alarmists and some others insist that the main control knob that happens between the beginning and the end is infrared radiation interacting with carbon dioxide and water vapor, and holding energy back from escaping to space. In fact, as physicist Tom Shula explains in “Why Radiative Transfer Is The Wrong Model For Earth’s Atmosphere,” sunlight is converted to multiple phenomena in the weather. That controls the heating and cooling of the planet. How can anyone forget the vast oceans and everything in the weather?
One aspect of the oceans is global currents caused by energy from the sun and heat from the Earth’s core, not weak infrared radiation interacting with
tiny amounts of carbon dioxide and water vapor. Global ocean currents are part of the planet’s heating and cooling system. See the two charts below.
It doesn’t take a scientific wizard to know that massive ocean currents are
part of the heating and cooling system of the planet. Only a water planet, like Earth, has this ideal heating and cooling system.
Ocean currents are one important part. The other is many processes in the atmosphere. Evaporation from the oceans and delivery of pure water as rain and snow to the continents are vital parts of the weather. They are covered in separate articles.
Ocean currents are not driven by infrared radiation and the “greenhouse effect.” Longwave infrared radiation is much weaker than sunlight and has never harmed a flea.
Why do politicians, non-profit organizations, the mainstream media, universities, high schools, and middle schools in Australia, Europe, and North America demand that we fear carbon dioxide from fossil fuels?
To power the movement of ocean currents, and heat and cool the planet without the sun and heat from Earth’s core would require far more power plants than the world has now. The sun operates ocean currents easily and does it for free.
Man-made global warming alarmists insist that Earth’s global average temperature is controlled by very weak long-wave infrared radiation acting on tiny amounts of man-made atmospheric carbon dioxide. They ignore the many roles of the oceans. Who tells the biggest lies to everyone on Earth?
