Serious climate change happens. It is just not man-made. We must prepare. John Shanahan October 27, 2021 Climate change happens all the time. We must prepare for it, especially long periods of extreme cold. This requires plenty of energy from fossil fuels and lots more from nuclear power. We have profound conflicts. Don’t waste precious fossil fuels by poorly planned megacities and endless wars. Billions of people are in unnecessary poverty, poor health, poor education, life-anddeath struggles caused by bad leaders with veiled agendas about catastrophic man-made global warming, climate change. Look around and see who they are! They include heads of government in North America and Europe. They are extreme environmental groups: Natural Resources Defense Council, Sierra Club, Greenpeace, etc. We must maintain modern lifestyles that support over eight billion people rather than allowing ourselves to be forced by alarmists to return to terrible lifestyles, return to slavery. Such ways of life can only support about one billion people. Nearly 7 billion people would die of starvation, poverty, and disease. Earth’s climate is an average of weather over the entire planet for a period of 30 years or longer. It is influenced by energy and energy variation from the sun, geometry and motions of the solar system, shape of the planet, tilt of Earth’s axis relative to Earth’s orbit, changes in cosmic rays penetrating the atmosphere, changes in albedo - reflectivity of the sun’s energy back to space. Albedo is determined by cloud cover, soot from volcanoes, and dust from the surface stirred up by wind. Weather is what is happening in the atmosphere at any given moment and every location. This photo of Earth shows how complex weather is.
