Explaining weather and climate requires all details of weather in the land and oceans, not just sunlight and infrared radiation.
1) Most scientists discussing man-made global warming only use sunlight energy at the Top of the Atmosphere and Infrared Radiation.
2) They do not account for energy processes in the oceans, the volume of the oceans and actual weather in the atmosphere. These must be properly accounted for in every study that is worth anything.
3) The story of humanity is about work done, not energy they used. A study of climate science must include accounting of energy and work in the atmosphere and oceans. No work, no play!!
