Japan’s population is about 127 million. Russia’s population has been decreasing because of drugs, emigration, bad medicine and alcoholism. Some groups of population are growing. Especially –Muslims in Tatarstan, Bashkorstan (Kazan, Ufa) and native of the Caucasus. Some experts in the Russian Federation predict that in about ten years more than 50% of the Russian army will consist Muslims. The climatic zones of Russia are from permafrost on the North and East to subtropics on the South. Good conditions for agriculture are alternating with bad ones. Partly because of it, partly because of communist inheritance, the country does not live without food import. Milk products –cheese, butter etc. –from Finland, Denmark and others countries, fruits and vegetables- from Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, Israel. Beef and chicken- from the USA, wine, whisky- from Italy, France, Spain, Georgia, Scotland, Ireland, beer –from Germany, Czech Republic, Denmark, etc.
Oil, gas and rare metals Russia has very much oil and gas. Some countries from Europe get more than 50% of energy from Russian Federation. Right now after more than 20 years of developmentconstruction, research-one more gas area-Jamal peninsula in the north part of Russia is entering world market. Its main particular feature- practically all this area is in permafrost zone. Russia has the majority of rare metals- tungsten, vanadium, molybdenum, nickel, etc.
